A track rider with too much floor space...

Since the original shot had clear sky in the background, I snapped a picture of a part of the sky with some clouds after the hawk had left and have composited the images.

How does this compare to the original (located in the same folder)?

Thanks for the comments! The colours were subtle and subdued as the shot was taken at dusk...
a little less realistic perhaps:

Colour version of the previous shot...no post processing at all!

Don't worry too much about ratings. I have photos that I think are great that get completely passed over, and some that get low ratings. I always find comments more valuable than the numbers.
And on that note...one thing I might suggest is that since it's a portrait oriented photo, you could try making it smaller so it can be viewed fully at various screen resolutions. The background could also be set off by a nice digital frame.

Interesting crop...it gives an idea of the size of the bird, but I do miss the feathers at the wingtips. A tradeoff. The eyes are just amazing...kudos for great focus and high enough shutter speed to keep things sharp. Although the background is a a little plain, I can't suggest any way around this either :)
Great shot!

Nice DOF and the interaction between the man and fish is just great. It put a smile on my face :)
Nice shot!

Perfectly exposed! Great detail in the bridge. Superb composition and I love the vignette effect toward the edges. I just wonder if you had been a little higher if we could have seen the horizon behind the railing on the left side. Still...gorgeous!

Any suggestions for improvement on treatment of this photo? Thanks
