Beauty is an omnipresence of death and loveliness,
a smiling sadness that we discern in nature and all things,
a mystic communion that the poet feels.
Charlie Chaplin (1889 - 1977)

Great portrait, with excellent tones and composition. Your portraits are getting better and better, I am very impressed by your portfolio.

Fantastic photo opportunity!! I think a crop would be good however I like the lines of the lamps on both sides and cropping would ruin it. I love the expression she has, and you have really caught movement and humour in the shot. Like Andy said, the Parisians really are quite unique.

Sharp with lovely colours, original it isn't but who cares it is very aesthetically pleasing, well done.

This is a great shot, I can't believe it hasn't got more ratings? Simple clean lines that tell their own story. Lovely tones too. Well done.

What a great shot, lovely colours, simple idea and i would leave the shot as is. Well done.

I like it as is, very spooky. The sort of buildings we would dare each other to go into when we were kids. Nice composition I like it.

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't find this disgusting or vulgur at all, in fact If I had a body like that I would walk around naked all the time.......might ditch the blindfold though. Great picture, the title says it all.

Vlad, I prefer this one to the black and white one which you just uploaded. It is a lovely scene which you have captured well. The only issue with it for me, and it might be just on my screen, is that the greens look quite yellow.

Nothing extra I can add that hasn't already been said....SUPERB.

As a subject I think he is excellent. Great face, great expression and movement.
I have found when trying to shoot a violinist that they are better side-on as when you shoot them face-on the position looks awkward.
As a portrait, I really like it. I think you should come to London and we can work on a book just of violinists! Well done.

Audrey, I wouldn't touch it! It is perfect as is. A very atmoshpheric image, I can almost imagine being there. Great!

I echo Jim's comment this for me is a definite POW, it is simply beautiful.

James, I prefer the tones in this picture to the boat one. This is a lovely shot and a lovely crop. Great !
