I still have the lens. I either use it on a D3 or a Leica SL via an adapter.

Composite image of three images, taken with Leica SL, Noctilux 50mm f/1 lens at f/2,0, 1/250th second. ISO 50.

The original image is here at this URL:"http://members.cox.net/edgy02/AmericanWest.jpg"

Cute photo! Only wish the eyes didn't have that slight-opaque look. Could be toned down a bit in PS.

Compositionally this is a great image. Unfortunately, something happened when you resized it for posting here. I suspect JPEG compression. Unfortunately, it has rendered some artifacting in the foreground. Supe work, however! Thanks for sharing with us.

A perfect composition, with a willing subject! A marked difference from the typical 'pet shots' we see here. Many could learn from you.

Often people pick the worst images to maipulate. Usually the photograph starts out bad, and they only make it worse. Clearly this is an outstanding image that was improved further by skillful adjustment. Wonderful!

You can try this again in 60,000 years...good job!
-
Perfect color, tone, contrast, composition. Everything is just right!

Where was this taken?
The one question that you shouldn't have to answer. Nicely done.
-
How's the color version look? Can you attach it below? Nice composition, regardless. This is a favorite spot.

And he thought you said that you were taking him down to be tutored...

You need to look into making this a post card! First rate composition, coloring,--everything!!
-
It's so hard to believe that you stitched this together from three shots! Nicely done. What a great spot. What lake is that off in the distance? Great action shot!

A wonderful panoramic image! I particularly like the inclusion of people for scale and for a bit of a change from every other shot taken at this location. People are a part of nature!
-
You can't compose them any better than this!
-
Very CUTE but please, resize your picture for normal screens. I use 72 ppi, and about 11 inches in width, and that seems to fit most without side to side scrolling.

Despite a dying monitor your shot STILL looks great! Nice composition, balanced. Ordering that cloud into the scene helped, too. The only thing you could have done to make it even more perfect would have been to add a person off to one side or the other, looking into the view which would add a bit of human interest and scale to things.
-
Is it me, or is your horizon tilted a bit? Also, would have loved something in it for scale. Anything!

Nice original composition asthetically composed. All you could ask for.

You would be amazed at the images you can get it you simply carried a small tripod along with you into the woods. That's what this image needed,--a stable platform so that you could stop down the lens so as to get more in focus. Right now as it is, there is no central focus (it's higher up nearer the framing green leaves than on the primary subject, which I'm assuming to be the bright yellow leaf. From a composition standpoint you should generally avoid putting the primary subject flat in the middle of your shot. Try for a more asthetically pleasing composition where the leaf is near one of the intersections of the 'rule of thirds.' That may be a good start for you.
-
The shot is just too large as it is. Suggest it be resized to something like 72dpi and about 11-12 inches across.
-
I'm guessing that the original Polaroid image was unacceptable so you decided to use PS to manipulate it a bit. That failed. It's a very ordinary shot made worse through manipulation. Some images lend themselves to such extreme manipulation. This one doesn't.
