I am getting BuSY signal every time I have a picture in BULB mode.
What I have is: EyeFi Mobi SD card inside CF adaptor.
The BuSY time is exactly the same amount as bulb exposure.
So if I take a picture for 300 seconds, the BuSY is about 300 seconds.
I do remember when I took long exposure shots using my 10D the BuSY was not this long.
Any suggestions?

I am looking for a Wireless Remote trigger for Canon EOS 20D bodies. I looked at various websites online and it is all confusing.

My objective is to place the Camera on a tripod, focus the camera on the subject (a model) i will be talking to, and trigger the shutter, wirelessly. The focus should also be accomplished as I take pictures.

Objective is to capture the subject in their natural settings.

I was thinking of a wired alternative after reading DP Review and the comments on how bad the 8GB card is.
All I need is a USB to Lightning interface, and connect the camera - mini-USB to the iPhone and view images and transfer images directly.
Can this be done?

I did try the Tamron 150-600mm last year in July 2015. I am leaning towards Sigma 150-600 mm

I like the idea of instantly transferring photos from Canon 20D to my iPhone say in JPEG format that does not require heavy manipulation or RAW format.
I found CF adapter for my Body. I guess I need to also buy mobi 8GB or Mobi-Pro 16 GB.

My question is, I have 2 Canon 20D bodies, and if I go with 2 sets of CF adapters and try to connect them to my iphone, will each CF adapter (WiFi) have a unique SSID? Can i set a name.

What if there are many Photographers around you all using WiFi - Mobi, how does that work?

I have Canon CRW raw images. I would like to use a software that is equivalent to Adobe Bridge where I can view the raw images and adjust brightness contrast colors etc and batch process them and export them to JPEG.
Any recommendations that works on XP

I am considering to get the Opteka RL-600 eTTL macro ring flash. It is being sold for $89.95. It is build to 77mm lens diameter. I have two Sigma lens for my Canon EOS 10D.

Sigma HSM 70-200mm f2.8 - 77mm diameter
Sigma DX 17-70mm Macro 1:27 - 72mm lens diameter.

Has anyone used this for their macro photography.

I am looking into Macro Ring Flash by Opteka and other 3rd party manufacturers.
My lens is: Sigma HG 17-70mm f2.8-f4.5 1:27 mag. I am using Opteka extension tubes. I have captured this little fella who flew into our kitchen here in Southern India. I used the built in flash. I did try the shoemount flash : 420EX and I saw shadows.
My lens thread filter size is 72mm. And I would like to also use my Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 HSM whose filter size is 77mm.
However most of these sell adaptor rings upto 67mm and say they sell 72mm/77mm separately.

here is my question. Will it make a big difference with Macro flash ring?
And how do I get the 72mm adaptor ring from places like Amazon or eBay?

Advice and ideas?
Subha

I have a Sigma HSM 70-200mm f2.8 lens. I have used for portrait shots of models and friends. And for shooting birds i coupled it with my Tamron 2x tele-converter.

I am thinking of trading it for a Sigma 50-500 mm HSM lens. Does anyone have any suggestion or feedback. I am quite certain the 50-500mm lens can be used for portrait, and candid shots of life in the city from a distance and the BOKEH would be fantastic. Furthermore this would help me to capture wildlife at 500mm and also upto 800 mm manual focus using Tamron 2x Tele-converter.

Suggestions?

Chuk and others thank you for your replies. I will go with Kenko's. I also used Reverse lens and stick it directly onto the body of the lens and shoot at f/16 aperture. I got some good shots using standard shoemount flash when shooting bugs at night..
the above attached image of a red ant was in India using Kenko extension tubes 12 + 25 + 36 on a Sigma AF 17-70mm lens where the lens was extended to 70mm.

I am looking to do Macro photography using Extension Tubes. I had used Kenko extension tubes by combining 12mm + 25mm + 36mm on my Sigma 17-70mm lens and got some good results. That Kenko extension tubes was something I borrowed from a Friend.
I was searching for Kenko extension tubes on Amazon and came across Opteka which is priced at half the price of Kenko.
Opteka tubes are different: 13mm 21mm and 31 mm . does that smaller extension make a significant difference?

Thank you all for your valuable input. Keith L, as you suggested the technique would not work with a candle. However if IDEAL conditions persists where the candle flame is very steady in studio conditions with Black backdrop .. then can the star effect be seen. I believe there is only one way to find out. I will experiment sometime tonight and let you know..

I would like to take a close up Macro image of a Candle Light. However I would like to generate Star effect as if Rays of Lights are emanating from the candle.
I am contemplating the idea of Zooming in/out using bulb exposure.. however I am not sure if that is the effect i would be able to create..
Any ideas?

Rainer T, Are you asking me to post the RAW image here for inspection? It is about 5.6 MB. Don't know if there is enough space here..

I have my RAW files on an external Hard drive (USB 2.0). Some of the RAW files
are corrupted. Meaning when i view these RAW images on Adobe Bridge CS3 they get
corrupted.
However when I view the images on Canon Zoombrowser, the image seems to be fine.
I tried purging the cache in Bridge and the thumbnail seems to be fine. When I
try to view or preview the image in Raw Window the image gets corrupted.
I did a disk check and no errors.
Here is what the image looks like.. please see attachment.
