I like this a lot.. maybe a bit more cropped in on the sides in toward the flags.
-
excellent framing. puts the action into a cool perspective. I have posted a few concerts in my folders..
-
I was in perfect positon - up front: 15' from Les and 15' from
Ler...until the first chord was struck.. then the mosh lunged forward
and I was absolutely trapped; could not move. So I fought my way out
of the mosh pit for the first level and waited, and waited and waited.
This show had the absolute worst lighting.. blues and reds, all from
the sides and rear... until this splash of white light washed over
this truly fantastic musician. I am dead set against any sort of flash
for concert photography, period. This is Les' custom Carl Thompson
bass guitar - THE RAINBOW.

how do you feel about this photo?

Where the art of photography is in the camera. Nice Photoshop exercise though.

thank you for sharing. This was all photoshop mostly adjusted in channel mixer and curves. I have several filters from when I shot mostly film and am trying to accomplish similar effects digitally.

Earth raised up her head,
From the darkness dread and drear,
Her light fled,
Stony, dread,
And her locks covered with grey despair.

And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.

excellent subject and potential.. maybe a different time of day and more drama in the sky.. try a polarizer or an ND filter
