Jessica - I want to offer a few comments:

    great expression.

the composition is very creative - I love the crop. Leave a little more room for her left eye and just a little more room for the forehead - not a lot but this will balance the photo in the "rule of thirds".

the photo is a little soft and needs a little more contrast. You can get away with the softness if her eyes were sharp.. the eyes should always be tack sharp.. this should be your focus point.

    Well done. neal

J Michael.. this was shot on the path to Miners Falls just outside Munising.. As I was making my way, I acknowledged a friendly lady along the way.. asked her if she was from here (hoping to get recommendations on other interesting locales).. She said, "No I am from Georgia".. WOW !! I had just flown in from Georgia and I meet another Georgian along the way.. Small world.
  1. Ok all a yall rockers.

Last night's concert just cranked. They cruised through all the classics: Got Me Under Pressure, Wait'n for the Bus..Jesus just left Chicago, Just got paid, bar-b-Q, LaGrange, Blue Jean Blues, Tush, I'm Bad_I'm Nationwide, Cheap Sunglasses, Pearl Necklace, Sharp Dressed Man, Legs, Rough Boy, Heard it on the X, DoubleBack, Pincushion.... and Jimi's Foxy Lady..

These were not shortened medley versions.. but rather full on jams.. WOW. I could not have asked for more.. cept "My Heads in Mississippi" or "Precious and "Grace"... doubleWOW.

Chastain Park was the venue, smack dab in the middle of BuckHead. Chastain is a natural amphitheater that dates back to the mid-40s... now I have been to a million concerts and I have never been in a venue with better sound.

The had a strict NO camera policy.. but as you know "I shall not be denied".

  2. timing is everything... maybe coax the spider out a bit and capture it peaking. nice diagonal composition.. but NEVER put the main idea centered.. research (google) the "rule of thirds". dubsider....
  3. good depth of field. watch your exposure. You lost a little detail in the highlights of the flower. Very nice composition formed by the stem which leads the eye to the butterfly..and framed by the dark lines on either side of the blossom. dubsider :)

all is natural.. honest - just a few captures layered on top of each other: i guess it is the way the light entered the lens.. not intending 'regal' - just to highlight the prism. changed frame to basic black. thanks for looking - ng
