Luys, Great point of view of an interesting flower. This is a pretty hard genre to produce standout pictures because it is done sooo much, but you did a good job. AJM

Vincent thanks for the good words. This is my second attempt at this cabin. My first attempt a year or so ago is posted h e r e. Ever since that first shot, I wanted to try different angles. I have been critisized lately for wearing out the cityscape idea and I kinda have been feeling that way myself. So I have been trying to branch out still doing what I love. Thanks again for the look and the advice. Well recieved as always. AJM

Self portrait. Thanks for looking.

No Gary, It's the old Cincinnati Train station. Now converted to an Omnimax theater, 2 museums, and still serves as a train station. One of Cincinnati's great landmarks. Thanks for the compliments. AJM

appears bread brings many types of birds together. Good shot.

Thanks for looking.

A, Thank you for the comment. I guess Nick thought putting down my photo and giving me a bad rating would bother me. Thanks for the constructive feedback. I really agree with you and I think I have kind of worn the path of city scapes. I will take your suggestion and mix it up a little. I will be sure to keep my eyes open and get a little closer. Thanks again. AJM

Did you try to crop the top portion just middle or above the bushes? It might help. At least in my eyes.

Great effort put forth. Very original idea. I would love to hear some more of the technical aspect of your setup. AJM

There was some discussion on one of your recent uploads about the inclusion of people in your photo. Here I think it works greatly. Much has to do with her posture and action of running from the surf with her fins. It really adds to the feeling you are trying to create. Paradise, beauty and perfection.
Great image as usual and I appreciate the good advice you had for me recently. AJM

Great shot James. I love just about everything in this photo. How long was she still before you got this idea? Great image. AJM

Interested in any comments or critisism. This was stitched using a
series of photos. 10d on a tripod panning a series of shots. I do
realize the size may seem excessive, but I feel it is neccesary for
greater detail. Thanks, AJM

The vertical format of this shot is terrific. I am very impressed. Thanks for sharing. AJM

At the beginning of my photography experience I spent a week in Aspen, Snow Mass, and Telluride. I was there during the changing of the Aspen trees. I know this is a marvelous time to be here and you have captured it perfectly. I am going back in the summer, hopefully I can bring back some worthwile shots. Congratulations on the POW.

Kim, thanks for taking the time to explain. This shot was taken at a bird blind at the Cincinnati Nature Center. It's a pretty large area with many different opportunities at all local wildlife. Your comment gave me the opportunity to look thru your portfolio. You have a great portfolio. I will accept advice from you anytime. All the best. AJM

Alvaro, Everyone has their own cup of tea, I guess. Thanks for the comment.

quite unusual. What is casting the green light?

Wilson, Assuming you live here: I would love to see this same shot a little later in the day using a tripod and maxing out your time exposure, with the idea of getting some motion in the clouds. This is assuming the clouds were moving, the light was low enough to use a longer shutter speed and you had a pretty small aperature available and / or slower film. Just a "what if" scenario. I think the composition is great and the subject is original. Nice work. AJM

My initial reaction would be to comment on the lack of detail in the trees. I think this is a really hard subject to expose properly and I think to make this one work, you need perfect exposure. The whole shot seems maybe 1 or 1/2 stop underexposed. The colors really just dont jump out. I will say the subject matter is great and your idea was superb, maybe just a little difficult to expose perfectly.
