Proximity gives us a true taste of what this woman life has been... That's what makes photography so unique.
Which lens did you use ? I'm using a classic 50 and am curious about knowing about this one...
-
Very interesting perspective, indeed.
Rich and deep tones, as well.
How 'bout keeping it slightly less sepia ?
-
A few comments on this one as well as its folder would help a lot!
thanks a lot !
as an info these pictures are from a small band I know around here,
that play a great music with a great spirit as well.

A taste of what Wynn Bullock was making in his past years. Great feeling of light... shall make a great impression on a big print !

I love the cities, at night... wandering around is quite ecstatic for me...

Hello all!
Any comments and critics welcome.
This one was just shot yesterday, and developped this night..
-
Yes! I'm ok for the cropping. A little bit darker is right, but not so much... I'm still wondering what kind of fish this man was hoping to get in such a dirty river (la seine, Paris)
huh, also... thanks for the comment.

The shadow line appear to disturb my perception of the space, here. Quite interesting.
The cross shakes the mind also.
Good composition. I would "wow" in front of a true print of this one !

Unfortunately the arm support cuts the lady's neck.
The perspective appears good however, and the idea is original.

As I always feel, b&w photography is for beautiful prints on silver paper ;-)
However, I have a great feeling about this picture.
Just one thing that would greatly improve it:
lighten a bit the daughter's face (in photoshop).
Under the enlarger (I wish you to have one, if you still not...), just dodge 1/3 of the base time.
I would also add some artificial vignetting to the picture.
Creating an light progression to your central subject often helps understanding & reading your picture the way you want to show it.
Great & sensitive photography, anyway.
Can you also have a look a my folder "I'm not sure I was there" (photos in thailand)?
Go on shooting...

A good use of dark/light tones. A taste of what freedom means to the ones that are not free...
I would have cropped a small lower part of the image, to get a better symetry on it.

Wow, usually I don't like fisheye styly pictures. But this one doesn't look that fashioned and over-seen. The child's face look like an angel. He looks like saying "Ok, i'm still small... but someday I'll get bigger. I'll wait..."

The atmosphere is quite strange due to the very clear wall. I would crop a left 1/3 of the picture to give a more dynamic feel... (here the man is a bit too centered, IMHO)
-
Wow, the colors look unreal. the framing help this feeling of 80's style.
Anyway, IMHO, I would have chosen a more frontal point of view.

At night, in warorot market, Chiang Mai, North Thailand.
An empty street.

Hmmm... IMHO, the road is too empty. It would have worked better with a different framing.
J'adore la normandie, moi aussi (même si je suis plutôt breton...) ;-)

Nice! Steve MC Curry's style...

Good picture ! The G2 seems to be a great camera. Very sharp.
Reminds me of a Steve Mc Curry picture (magnumphotos.com, have a look, he's a great eye !)

Reminds me of a movie: Dark City.
Nice use of a tele lens...
-
Wonderful! I love these images that remind me I'm still a child, also...
It would be great in a FB print !

The unfocused ramp on the left doesn't work for me. Darkening it a bit under the enlarger will work, for sure.
The rest of the picture is quite interesting as a "descent" to purgatory...
-
It would have worked a lot better if the subject was less centered and with a lighter bkgrnd. We would then see better the meaning of this image.
An impressive tree and vine growing the Lambir Hills National Park.

Due to the light composition, this picture is hard to manage. There is a huge contrast between shadows and highlights... and imho, the trunk is a bit too centered. If you enjoy working with high contrasts like this one, I suggest that you focus on easily readible subjects such as subjects :
-well defined with lines or curves
-normally having subtle tone changing (such as a human face, etc.)
