The sky is simply beautiful, while I'm quite ambivalent about the composition...

Matt, I think this is the best picture among those you uploaded. It shows a unique view of an ordinary object. I like the smooth tone, the contrast of the picture. IMO, there may be just a bit too much black area on the right hand side, would a portrait crop have worked better?

While over-exposure washes out the details on the dry lake bed, I kinda like the dry, devastating, unbearable feeling it gives me.

Very clever comparison between the balloon stripes and the grooves on the field.

I can just imagine how good it feels to finally see the lighted door after a long walk in the cold dark night. Beautiful

That's not fog there! :) I thought these are mountain peaks above the cloud. The color is beautiful. I don't get the arrangement of the rocks though.

The chicken or the egg?

Beautiful colors. The pix is a bit skewed CCW though.

Absolutely stunning. Maybe a bit too much USM?

:). Nice pose.

I love the parallelism between the cat's straight posture and the slim table lamp. Did you have to drug the cat to make him look hazy like that? :)

I like the peaceful feel of the picture. W/o knowing Marlyse's age, I found her expression is a bit too old for her. The background window and corner is a bit distracting as well.

The yellow floor is actually the roof of a school bus. I guess I cropped this too tightly. Thanks.

Beautiful color. I would try a different framing to get the stem start from a corner of the frame...

I think it feels like the woman is looking at the hand drawing her.

I look at all the pictures in this folder featuring Melissa and I've gotta say that you did magic in this shot, capturing the model's beautiful natural smile at the best angle of her face. Congrat.

I love the way the tougue of the cap covers most of her eyes except for that little glance that makes us all excited :). It's kinda like a discrete glance while the soldier is standing in attention...

Beautiful model. The perspective between her right forearm and her face bothers me a bit, it's not like picturing Popeye you know :). Must be the wide angle lens thing. I like well-controlled contrast and smooth tone of the picture very much.

Wild life :)

Carl, you can't claim that this isn't a portrait if you capture someone with an expression like that her face. Just wish it weren't as underexposed (maybe not that bad on the print?).
I love the tight composition. The extreme contrast between the window and the room may work in your favor. I keep asking why would someone stays inside working while there is a bright world out there. Beautiful!

Thanks. It was a candid picture. I'm still very nervous about pulling the camera on people's face though :).
