Either a very long lens or a more than inquistive deer. This image is unique. Not many chances to see this old buck in this position.. I really like the picture. Good tone too.

The composition is good. Two things bother me. First is the coloring. If the model is to have no color then it image should be "hi key" . If the model is in color the color should be brighter and more distinctive. The bodice and the upper chest area have the same tone. Small point, get rid of the belt, it draws the eye to the edge of the cushion.

Pose is good, I would rather have the hands behind the head. Lighting appears balanced so the torso is not into the backgound. The longer chain is a bit too much.

  1. "Thank Goodness for Little Girls". (Gigi) Nice use of the surrouding situation. Just enough frameing to make it interesting. Your work has really outstanding composition. I assume practice, practice, practice........

This is interesting in that you have retained the original concept and gone a few steps beyond. Digital effects can go down many paths. Starting at a boring torso picture you now have ART. Kudos for bending the rules.
  2. Why not accept the many variations that can be expressed by graphics editors as a way to get a different feeling or reaction to an image. If we were doing the variation with darkroom or printing techniques it would more acceptable to some people. We have only to observe the ratings given here to see that there is variation in taste. Very good work by the way!
