Photographers tell me such an image isn't a photograph, too much done

in Photoshop. Photoshop Artists would say it isn't Photoshop art,

not created from scratch but rather only applying filters. But isn't

there the technical issues of lighting, posing, composition &

cropping the original image as merits for photography? Plus,

artistic application of the right filter/effects for each image? Not

any monkey could put together all the pieces. I'd like to print this

one on artist canvas in a large format. I welcome your thoughts and

feedback. This was my first serious attempt at nude photography

since my college class on the subject, and one of my first attempts

at using studio lighting. I was pleased with the results.

Why not accept the many variations that can be expressed by graphics editors as a way to get a different feeling or reaction to an image. If we were doing the variation with darkroom or printing techniques it would more acceptable to some people. We have only to observe the ratings given here to see that there is variation in taste. Very good work by the way!

Because of the poor shading, it looks like her right hip is starting next to her left breast. My recommendation is to take MORE pictures with that D100 and skip the photoshop completely for a while :))

IT'S AMAZING THAT IN ADVERTISING CIGARETTES DON'T PRODUCE ANY SMOKE. IN HTIS CASE IT IS TOO PREDOMINANT(THE BUTT)AND RENDERS THE IMAGE DISTASTEFUL
