Great effect, almost unnoticeable, the man who breakes the simetry is a hot spot and adds scale.. i love this kind of locations, they are so cold but very photogenic.

Fantastic composition and low key exposure, DOF is perfect too; a very well achieved result of simplicity and natural beauty.

I enjoy how dark skin tonalities are reproduced here; one of the unbeatable characteristics of photografhic B/W film... and you did it very well with tis subject, plenty of mystic.. looks like he is singing/talking... great composition too. congrats!

Hola Alberto, esta es tal vez la que mas me gusta de todas, pues la expresión del señor ayuda a enriquecer el ánimo dualista, de miseria y esperanza. Aunque en fotoperiodismo artístico o documental se busca muchas veces que el fotógrafo se acerque lo máximo sin ser advertido ( o que no se vea que está allí) ya que el sujeto no interactua con él, en este caso la intervención del sujeto resulta divertida y nos habla un poco de su persomalidad. Talvez debieras haber abierto un poco el plano o usar una óptica mas amplia para relacionarlos con su entorno e intentar jugar con el encuadre...

Qué buen contraste y nitidez en el color, yo le cortaría sin embargo un poco del cielo, para hacerla un poco mas cuadrada, tal vez intentaría oscurecer algo el cielo también, para añadirle más dramatismo, en mi opinión... Una pregunta, Alberto: usas aún el escáner epson 1650? es el mismo que yo tengo y he tenido algunos problemas para calibrarlo adecuadamente... Has usado el software de Epson y te pasaste a VueScan?... quisiera obtener este, pues el Epson no me convence mucho, y no ´se si exista para la plataforma Mac.. Saludos!

DOF is perfect, the sense of volume created by his great skin and beard texture; his sight at the infinite...it's a deep sensation. the film choosing is also unbeatable!

 

the metallic detail on his coat maybe distracts a bit.
