Love the natural lighting and spontaneous pose.

Great to hear from you Jack! You haven't been very active lately. Looking forward to seeing new stuff from you. Hope all is well!

Gail, if you are a "senior" too like me, check out my 70's folder. I started out in about 1969 photographing friends just hanging out.

Thanks for your comment, Gail! I actually cropped this one from a more full shot including the entire dress, which has a white owl on it (her choice). We did some school photos at home due to Covid. As you pointed out, I could have cropped it more to exclude the white.

Thanks for your comments, John! I agree completely with you, that children are so un-self-conscious and natural. I always love the unpretentious look you get from a kid when photographing them.

Thanks for the lens info Laurent!

Laurent, another great wide angle shot! I see these and I want a 10mm lens for my D7100. Would you mind telling me which one you are using!

I had a Border Collie who would catch the Frisbee like this. Very acrobatic. Cars would stop to watch her leaps and athletic catches!

You know, I knew this was yours before even looking at the information!

I knew it was yours right away!

Beautiful!

I walked into the bathroom and this caught my eye.

Classic Jack McRitchie!

Hey Kevin. Nice to see you on photo.net! Very nice portfolio too!

Thanks for the comment Philip. I maybe could have just used a f 1.4 lens or something. Interesting you are preferring film for black and white. I look at the images I did on film, and even scanning the negs they have a quality that you don't get in digital. I have no time for the darkroom work any more, unfortunately. I am doing mostly color these days anyway, which I almost never did in my darkroom days doing black and white.

Beautifully captured Jack!

Nice! Reminds me of the work of Emil Schildt. If you are not familiar with his stuff, check him out here on pnet.

Thanks for the comments folks!

Very interesting and beautiful series!

I really like this one and a couple more like it. They have the feel of black and white 35mm film shots from the 60's.
