Beautiful portrait. How lovely... beautiful skin tone, catch light in the eyes, nice exposure... very pretty girl.

For me, the lighter part at the bottom of her outfit distracts my eye and draws it to that area. Perhaps you wanted it though, to add dimension?

I would LOVE to see this photo cropped closer even though the background DOF is nice and soft.

Thanks for your comment, Gail! I actually cropped this one from a more full shot including the entire dress, which has a white owl on it (her choice). We did some school photos at home due to Covid. As you pointed out, I could have cropped it more to exclude the white.

Steve, the model has the final say in my book (when the models are our school age children (grandchildren in my case). She will look at this when she is all grown up and say "This was my favorite dress! I am so glad I have a picture of me in it." I can relate- I am a senior citizen and love the old school pictures specifically because I always wore a favorite outfit.
