Yes you certainly may, Travis. I'm flattered you like it that much. ;)

Travis, a large part of the motivation for making this photo was the sunlight on the muzzle of the horse. Unfortunately I don't know if it reads as bright light in the photo. I think maybe it just comes off looking like it's painted white there. Another reason for being attracted to it is probably the fact that I had a rocking horse very simialar to this when I was a child.

Lovely photo.

Just terrific.

Very strong photo, Manu. I'm not sure why your work seems overlooked here on photonet.

Beautiful, Manu.

Wonderful pic.

Ha. I don't know that it accomplishes as well what your 'Sunrise on Second Avenue' did so simply and beautifully and convincingly. I'd still keep it though. ;)

OK, you can probably scratch what I said about the exposure. Now that I'm looking at it on a decent monitor, it's taken a jump in print quality. I imagine in the physical print it takes an equivalent jump. Hmm, very intriguing photo. I have to think about this one. I don't know at this point if the viewer's probable realization that there is a sort of "trickery" going on with framing, and the fact that the "smoke" is probably steam- limits it in some way. A very good effort in any case.

I like this one. Works in so many different directions at once, evoking thoughts of humor, surrealism, violence, etc. I think even the out of focus may be helping to give it a mood and a link to the past.

Interesting shot, definitely has some energy to it. I realize it might not fit with your aesthetic, but just out of curiousity, I'd like to see how a 2nd much lighter and more detailed version would work.

She's viewing the scene. I guess I could've asked her to turn around. ;) A few forum members liked it as is. It would be a different photo with her facing the camera, I'll give you that.

Sorry for the confusion. This is a 2nd version of the print. I left the original in the folder too so as not to delete the comments on it- it does have quite a few ratings and comments. Thanks for your feedback.

It was accidental, Maria. The only post processing (besides contrast adjustment) was a very slight cropping around the edges of the neg. Thanks for your comments...

double exposure...
What do ya think?

... you who are falling all over yourselves with regard to this photo, that is...

Most of you need to get a grip on reality.

If the model were a fairly unattractive woman, would anyone give this a second look? So it becomes an issue of what is photographed, not how it's photographed. I enjoy looking at beautiful women as much as the next guy, but really, I think this site has become obsessed with that as a measure of what makes a good photograph. Get a hot chick to snap, especially one with not too much clothing, or none at all, some decent light, and you're most of the way to a long line of 6's and 7's.

Nice, Beau. First thing I thought was that it had the look of a war zone. The upper left feels a tiny bit awkward... maybe cropping differently would be helpful? You've probaby considered the options though, and it's really nitpicking on my part. Great shot.
