My buddy floating over part of the wreck of the Carnatic
-
Beautiful soft corals and schools of glassfish have taken over the
wreck of the Carnatic.
This steamship hit the Sha'ab Abu Nuhas reef on September 12th 1869
with £40.000 of gold.
There's no gold left now, but the wreck is still an amazing place to
dive, even after 150 years in the water.

These sponges are growing at the underside of an overhanging rock. For
the small Anthias fish, it doesn't matter their world is upside down

Trucks in the holds of the wreck of the Thistlegorm.
This ship was waiting for the suez canal to be cleared again when it
was bombed on october 6th 1941. Its cargo consisted of trucks, rifles,
motorbikes, boots and spare parts for airplanes
