    Hmm - I've spent a lot of time in Seattle and never noticed that piece of art. I like the space needle framed within, well done, although I do prefer the other image you shot with the waterfront behind.

    John - great shot here, I love the simple shape framing the sailboat. I may have chosen to crop out the fragment of tree on the left to emphasize those elements, but it does serve as a natural border to the image. Keep shooting!

    Andrea - I'm a sucker for goat pictures, so I'll comment here, although Lily 3 seems to be getting all the attention. ;) I appreciate your comment, and I'm very impressed by your portfolio - you show an excellent balance of strong technique and composition with digital postprocessing when necessary. Great eye, keep up the good work!

    Brian, great shot here, I like how you used the lines to direct the viewer toward the man walking. It all flows well. I do wish that the light wasn't as harsh (or perhaps a shorter exposure), there is detail in the lower right that has been blown out. Keep shooting!

    I have to admit that I don't usually enjoy the pictures from the "Children" category (perhaps having none of my own), but this is a fantastic portrait. Excellent color and detail in the eyes. Well done!

    Dave - you're right, very strange shadows! I'd be interested to know what's above. The flowers add a nice color offset to the texture of the shadows, good capture.

    Tyler - good stuff! I'm a sucker for deceptively simple seascapes like this. My only complaint is that the exposure feels a little muddy, there's not a ton of contrast - however, that could be compression issues. Keep shooting!

    Incredible color here, and lucky you for being there to take it! I think this is very strong overall, it might be worth shooting again in different light as the tones are a little harsh.

     

    That is, if you want to go back to Honduras .. hmm ...

    Dan - nice detail here, I've always been a sucker for this kind of stuff. The focus you seem to be going for here is the wheels and machinery; that said, you might try a different angle to eliminate the shadow in the lower left, or a wider shot overall to give more context. Keep shooting!

    Dorota - I think this is great, although I admit that I'm a sucker for this type of image. I do feel this would be stronger without the other branch in the upper left, I think what's powerful here is the silhouette arcing down left to right.

    I see what you're going for here and it's fantastic. I think this would be improved if the two figures were equally silhouetted in the water and the sky, otherwise great shot!
