Thanks Vincent. Yes this was taken with the RF 800. The lens has its time and place. If light is good then it works pretty good. Hand holding is also a benefit. It’s by no means a perfect lens but it is a good tool to have in the pack. The Gyrfalcon is not all that common to be seen in the lowermainland of British Columbia so it was pretty exciting to see one.

Brilliant photo. I have long been waiting the opportunity to capture a kingfisher feeding. The Belted Kingfisher is fairly common in my area - but quite shy. Again congratulations on the stunning photo.
