Nikon 75mm-300mm f4.5-5.6 AF Zoom lens. In excellent working and optical condition. It is a lens I haven’t used for a while and probably won’t. All functions are smooth; everything works as intended form Nikon. No case, no plate, both caps and tripod ring are included. No fungus, haze, scratches, no problems w/glass, etc. priced to sell at $100 plus shipping.

I have 2 large cardboard boxes containing several smaller boxes of slides (stored in 5 black plastic storage boxes) to be shipped from TX to AZ. All the slides are 35mm, mounted in GEPE glass mounts, then stored in plastic sheets. Plastic sheets are then stored in the black boxes. How likely is it that the hot weather/temp inside a carrier's truck will harm the slides?
Thx, Jim

Thx for the tip on Ghost Towns, I ordered it from Amazon. No interest in bird photo. Thx anyway.

I may have the opportunity to move to Sierra Vista and was wondering what photo ops I would have w/in a 3 hr drive of Sierra Vista. I am primarily interested in: Landscape, old western towns, historic places, rodeos.
Thx in advance,

I use PSE4 after I am done w/Lightroom. Most of what I what done is accomplished in LR, but still have need for PSE, especially w/downsizing for the web. When they allow 16 bit processing I would consider upgrading.

Try North Coast Photo in Carlsbad CA.

Kari, Sorry your getting what I should be getting. I am going to try the suggestion of MC -23, Will also try an off brand MC- 30, cut and splice 2 of them into one. This way there shouldn't be a lag.
Thx again for your help.

Thx to all, especially Rodeo Joe, & Kari. Both solutions will work, and both offer what I want at affordable prices with flexibility, especially the cheap radio transmitters. I will likely try them both. I'm only looking to use this for 3D Photography, not planning on being way from cameras, and probably not having cameras more than 12" apart.
Thx to all.

Thx Kari, that's the best solution yet. I'm surprised NIKON didn't offer that.

I have 2 F-100's that I need to fire at the EXACT same time. Nikon rep suggested the WR-10 set-up which sells for $180, but I would need 2 recivers. This is a bit expensive. I will be standing behind both cameras which are on a tripod plate. Both are fitted w/same lens, I will need to snap picture at exactly the same time for 3D photos of rodeo shots. Normal shutter speed is 1/1250.
Does anyone know of a less expensive, reliable method/equipment to do the same thing?

I agree w/Jim Peterson and Al Derickson, nothing beats a well exposed projected slide. North Coast Photo in CA still processes E-6 for ~$8.00/roll 35mm. I recently had them process 14 rolls, only $6.00 shipping for al 14 rolls. !!! Also many options in NYC, one in San Antonio, TX, and probably others if you look. 5 wks ago I purchased ~$200 worth of Provia 100F, Velvia 50, &100 from Adorama. B&H also has them in stock. Provia 400 has become way to expensive to purchase($14.00-18.00/roll). I still use my D700 for sports, street photo., and some landscape, but will also bring my F100 for landscape. I recently shot several rolls at many youth rodeos w/o any problems-both 100 and 400 ISO. Shot at least 8 rolls, shots look great. All mounted in Gepe AN Mounts.
Looking at my work projected on a screen beats a laptop any day. But digital still offers greater flexibility in processing.

I have both the F100 & D700, The D700 has a slightly brighter viewfinder when using the same lens on both. KatsEye does not support film cameras. Does anyone know of a focusing screen I can put in my F100 to get the same brightness as the D700?. I have used Beattie screens on my old FE2 w/o big difference. I am using 35-70 f2.8, 17-35 f2.8 and several MF Lenses, 25-50 f4.0, 50-135 f4.0. Having the most difficulty w/MF Lenses, but difference is noticeable w/all lenses.
I am aware that the viewfinder plays a role in brightness and I may not be able to achieve the same results w/F100. Any suggestions?

Has anyone ever dealt w/this company. They claim to have new D700's for$1900, plus several D700 kits avail. I have this question into my Nikon rep, but was wondering if anyone here has first hand experience w/them?
thx, jim

Thanks for all the info. I am going to go w/D600 due to newer technology, more dynamic range and full 1 yr Warranty. The price differential just isn't compelling to buy a D700.

I am considering FF. All my lenses are FF as I started out in film 20 yrs ago. Have the 20-35 f2.8, 35-70 f2.8. I currently shoot an F100 and D50. I have been looking at 2 D700's w/~20, 000 shutter clicks. Owners want $1600, I don't want to pay over $1500 since I can get a D600 for $2100 which is 5 yr newer tech, full 1 yr warranty, 24MP, and lighter.
I like my F100's build quality and ergonomics better than the D50, and prefer the 10 pin cable vs remote control, but that would not be a deciding factor. Nor would SD vs CF. Mostly shoot landscapes, studio fashion/glamour.
I don't want to be " Penny wise and dollar foolish". Looking for compelling reasons to go either way/the smart way.

Help is appreciated from those who have used both, thx,

I sometimes loose the "Enhance" button on the top row of Elements. Usually when I open Elements it is there, but sometimes after processing some files it goes away. The only way I am able to get it back is to shut down Elements and start over. Any idea what is going on and what to do about it?
thx
