Completely out of focus and the face appears to be too red ... but it sure does work, doesn't it? My first impression was that it seems like the sort of photography bands put in their liner notes.
The super-faded look of this photo ("there's some blue ... a hint of red ...") and its lack of sharp focus makes me feel like I'm watching part of an older home movie, something intimate. Makes me wonder about the who's and the what's of her life and the photographer's life. I dig this shot.

I think it would have been a stronger image if you could have cropped out more of the half-flower on the left during composition. Pretty flower, though. Would it be possible to saturate the slight red and green a little more for a more vivid image? I think it would work well agains the stark black background.

When I first saw this, I thought it was a computer-generated image -- looks like an ad for a new SimCity game!
Looking closer, I have to tell you I really like this image. A lot. Very much. The light hitting the cityscape in the background gives it a very clean, clinical feeling. It's concrete, metal and glass -- nature is not allowed to intrude there.
The foreground plants make me think of wilderness slowly coming back to regain its land. I love the way the foreground and background contrast but work so well together.
Put simply: I think this is a fantastic shot.

Considering the dark parts of the image are super dark and the light parts of the image are super bright, and you were working fast to get the birds flying, I think you exposed it just fine. Pretty scene.

Not a bad portrait photo. Looks like you flashed him, and judging by the warm light behind him you might have done better to use some of that light.

Beautiful colors and lighting. The brown log at the bottom is a nice contrast to all the green.

I disagree. I like this image. It's a really original view of a B-17. I know what the plane looks like, but the rows of rivets make for an original composition. Love those colors, too.

Very original image! I like it, though I would have liked to have the man's head a lot closer and perhaps to see more of his face.

I rather liked this image. My only comment would be that it works a little better for me when the picture is cropped closer to the boy's head, for instance perhaps right above the other childrens' heads.

Mmmm ... lunch. Fascinating and beautiful, though personally I feel that the stick is a little overdeveloped and bright.

Jumpin' jehosephats, that's pretty. The rainbow, the warm feel of the wood, the spread of the clouds, the green of the grass. I just really really like this image.

Very pretty sky, but the rest of the picture is just too dark. without being effectively silhouetted.

I like all the strong geometric shapes (circles, lines, angles) that stand out and contrast with the biological shapes of the dead leaves. And the color is great.

You should try this same shot on something other than suburban carpeting. All black, all white, something else would probably really spike things up a bit.

What's the story here? I like the abstract pattern, and the guy hidden inside it all intrigues me.

Also Blake Schwarzenbach of Jets to Brazil. He's really showing the emotion he puts into his songs, I like this shot.

I like it. This seems like the sort of shot you're going to really treasure in years to come.
I had the image in my mind but the problem was to find a blue sky with one cloud. One day I could finally take a picture of such a sky. So I used this sky ( with PS) for background.
