Was asked to capture some stills of a friend doing some backing vocals last night, as I was putting the cameras away another group came on, the girl really radiated energy and had a sassy, classy blues rock belter of a voice. I had no tripod or stabilizing rig but still decided 'what the hell' shoot some video. I did and although its unedited it still looks O.K. I sent it to the group & told them if they were interested to try it again then I'd be up for it.

The man on the left has clocked you and casts a casual yet suspicious eye.His neighbor bringing the paper up to catch the news he missed out on the ride in. The child, wild eye'd at the prospect of the bearded man opposite pointing a camera at him sits frozen in the 'Peter Lorre' while Mum staring vacantly through the window wondering what to do for the dinner that night.
Then again it could be something completely different :)
(Nice light, well framed and interesting array of characters)
Hope you are well Tony,
Regards from London

Kim, nailed it with her interpretation on the walk through life and a fathers (or mothers) stance to be there for support when ever needed (I am sure most of us have been there or will one day find ourselves there.
you certainly are a master story teller and we your faithful marionette's patiently awaiting to be strummed from our slumbers to another amazing story.
More maestro!
hope you and your clan are all well. -
This is a tremendous photo, so full of emotion and one that I am sure will be cherished for generations to come.

I am looking to have my reportage evaluated by experienced veterans as well
as from fresh eye'd new comers and in return I promise to give back my
honest critique but please let's stick to street/reportage/documentary.
Thanks

Hi Drew,
Here I wanted to show another side to Islam, a caring, happy, friendly side as I am sick of being force fed what the media has to offer in it's demonification.
Islam like Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism or many other spiritual groups out there is about peace/tolerance/charity it is the evil in men who corrupt its good intent.
I myself am happy to accept nature as the doorway to god for it is the giver of live and the receiver of death to me this is the closest I will ever come to know or understand god, but I respect and appreciate everything as a gift and with this my journey is an enjoyable one.
live & let live is not a bad policy.

Neils to me is a master of the abstract genre light years beyond trigger happy fingers.
when I saw you work especially this I thought it had the same strange draw that his work has on me, beautiful and yet somehow beneath the surface darkly disturbing almost to the point of melancholy.
It's nice to see that there are still some who refrain to follow the status quo and choose instead to be lead by something deep within their psyche.
Well done Drew on a marvellous image, not sure whether you finished it of with a filter but if so, it works!!!

I always try to visit when I am in Italy, 'Michael Ging' also stays there from time to time, maybe we could all meet up there one day and share a dish of gnocchi & focaccia washed down with some chianti.
How are you big fella, I hope life is treating you well and you are continuing to travel & take great pictures.

This somehow reminds me of oriental calligraphy, beautiful in it's simplicity and regal through the grace of hand.
The way the seal majestically cuts through water twines with the hand of the poet, both in a state like trance dancing with little more passion & imagination.
"Wonderful"

btw, Thank you for your kind words left on my piece 'Communi-ZEN'

Thanks Ken,
After looking at it again I agree that a tighter crop would probably work better here.
Thanks
BTW, If you ever want to follow me around I'd love to have the company whether here or on yonder side of pond,
Hope you and all your family are well and happy
Sincere regards

I think it's a combination of hdr and other filters, I know there is something in the new version of photoshop CS5 that creates something like this, is that right Petros?
