if you want to know how they keep the pigeons out of the square have a look at my London Life folder, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

I was there only two months ago and stayed on the front, did you get the chance to meet Bea Newton a local photographer and beautiful lady?
I spend a lot of time in this area where I come to relax and forget.
I do enjoy your work Michael, It?s surprising we move in similar circles and have never met.
(One day perhaps?)

I would like to have an image of my sister when she visited me in genoa but she was going through a bad patch but if I did it would have been something like this!
I really like it.
I will however upload one I took of my partner that you may like and relate to.

I've worked with a few too!
another classic that I really like

Michael, thank you for capturing these images because the world is not a beauty pageant or a walmart advertisment the world is also very sad and very cruel and one does not exist without the other, we have to strive to help where & If we can when others need it.
you have done this simply by reminding us what is there.

I saw this and went cold, the trauma she endured that day and that will haunt her.
Do you know if her recoveryis still improving?
I pray that she grows from this and that the person who allowed thier dogs free to inflict these horrific injuries on her frail frame learns to live with it.
I do not know what more to add.

I agree Doug the light here is wonderous and how the contrast seems to make a perfect balance.
another great shot Michael,
please next time you are in London let me know.

The symmetry in this is Doug is quite impressive,
I like it this way (?it is as it was.)
I almost feel compelled to walk up and open doors and look inside,
A really nice picture, with a really nice feeling.

You know I like these shots!
The difference between dreams and reality is that dreams cannot be touched,
but reality can!

First of all great picture just the type I like,
As for the beggar woman, I have been to Italy many times this summer though I am hoping to see Venice for my first time and perhaps with it this lady too.
If you see my work you will notice that I spend a lot of time on the streets and working with the homeless & vulnerable, I am saying this as while I was in Italy (Milan, Rome, Pisa, Genoa, & Florence ) I seen many similar beggars one could almost say that they were doppelgangers!
On closer inspection though I found that all but one was actually old, you see it's the hands that give it away and where as these ghost like specters never show their faces, look at the hands as old hands look old!
There is an old expression and it goes like this,
Grandmother, what big hands you have!
I see professional beggars all over and have had to learn to distinguish between them and the answer is really quite simple a true beggar does not need money what they really want is food or beverage (non alcoholic!!!) give them only this,
I prefer to give money only to those who offer a skill or service as this instills dignity and helps them come to terms with their situation and grow out of it in time.

Comments & Critique Welcome.

This is one of those images where you just have to see it large to get the most out of it but still you can get an idea of what it is like here in the cut down version - it also looks quite good in color too as the window has a touch of sky blue & the grey bricks on the wall bright yellow.
I seem to have caught them off guard which is exactly as I wanted them, I am tired of stern looks and conservative stances and here I have them as they are real human beings doing a job and just like all of us with moments of boredom where we amuse ourselves & each other to pass the time.

thank you.

I remember my litle Ruby when she was that age, god she is growing so fast I just want to tell her to slow down but you know kids they never listen.
Great picture 'Grandad!' ;?)

Very interesting,
I also see a cartoon face, it jumped out at me first those two big eyes, the eyebrows and the little mouth underneath!
the other aspect is equally interesting too.

I'm with the straight B+W, I don't know but I think the sepia gives it an undeserving warmth it makes me feel as though I want to paint it!
thats just me though, otherwise its fine.
It was done a while back and I would have said so if I had not seen your date, good shooting.
