"the only problem I have experienced was uneven processing due to the time interval required to pour the developer into the tank. I wasn't sufficiently rolling the tank and I suspect I was not pouring fast enough. problem solved .. "

Please inform how did yo get around the "pouring fast" problem? Do you use a funnel as recommended?

  2. I have been using a 3010 Expert Drum for about a year now, loading dry without any problems. Last month I had some strange patches on my negs. It looks like some areas have not been fully developed. I, now load my negs wet as per Hutchings suggests.

I load the drum with water and place it in my sink, place a water-filled 2-3 litre graduate next to it, turn the lights out, unload just one film at a time, hold it by it's sides and soak in the graduate for 20-30 seconds or so and transfer the film into the water-filled drum. It is very easy to load wet film in the water-filled Jobo Expert 3010 drum. I dry my hands and start all over again for the second film. This way I avoid any possibility of scratching my films. Once all films are in the drum, I put the lid on and then turn lights on. I dump the water from the drum and start my archival development cycle. I hope this helps.
