Could you please post the formula of HCA with the EDTA?

Brian, my bag bellows has a metal frame "lip" around the front as well as the back just like the standard bellows.

I have seen some beautiful 20x24 prints made from 35mm FP4+ negatives normally developed (not stand) in FX2 with addition of some household salt in the working solution to improve grain. I understand this is your version of the formula. Please inform how much salt is added to the working solution? Can you give me a starting EI for FP4+ 35mm, dilution, temperature and time for diffusion enlarging for my tests?

I would add Grandagon-N 75 to the list. I just went through the same process as you recently and decided on the Grandagon. I am extremely pleased with this lens.

Hello Harshan

-
GreyWolf, I have the same camera, Fujinon C 450 and just ordered a Grandagon-N 75. Which bellows do you have? Will I be able to use the standard bellows with the 75 or must I use the wide angle bellows?

FP4+ "N" development, EI:64, PMK 24C 7' 30", for silver gelatin, Jobo at the slowest speed. Great film and developer combination.

Could you please post the Pyrocat-HD formula you used?

I buy all my photographers' formualary products (and others as well) from Christoph Greiner in Germany. He is an excellent person to deal with. chr.greiner.photo@t-online.de

Thanks for your valuable input. I understand I will have a very limited movements with the standard bellows. Since I have both the standard and the wide angle bellows I do not want to buy the universal bellows at this time. I am not happy with recessed boards. I guess I'll have to mount the wide angle bellows on and off.
What is your opinion regarding the quality of these lenses which one is your favourite and why?

Hi all.
I do landscape 4x5" B&W photography with Ebony SV45U. My mostly used
lens is a SS XL 110. I also carry the following lenses with me:
Sironar S 210, Nikkor M 300, Fujinon C 450. The SSXL is not wide
enough sometimes. So I want a larger lens. My filter size is 77 mm.
SSXL 80 has a better image circle. Altough I have an Ebony wide angle
bellows apart from the standard, It may not very convenient to carry
and change the bellows on long hikes. With SSXL80, would I get away
with the standard bellows? Your opinions?

Hi all
Does anyone know the shelf life of Catechol (Pyrocatechin)?

Thank you for your valuable responses.

I used a two-sided tape between the Arca-Swiss plate and my Ebony. Ebony SV45TU has a large titanium plate where the tripod mount is.

I have been happily using F-24 nonhardening fixer with my PMK FP4+
negatives and FB prints since two years. I am now switching to TF-3
Alkaline Rapid Fixer especially due to shorter fix&wash times with my
FB prints and want to use the same with my PMK negatives.
Anchell and Troop recommend to reduce the sulfite in the fixer or
eliminate it altogether to obtain maximum image stain. They also
remind that the life of the working solution will be no more than one
day!
Has anyone used/tested TF-3 with and without the sulfite and would
you please share your findings with us? Are there any discernible
differences in image stain with PMK negatives?

EI 200 HC110 1+31 (syrup directly from the bottle) 7 minutes @ 20 C. Agitation: continuous the first 15 seconds, 3 taurus movements (5 seconds in total) very 30 seconds thereafter.

I have standardized all my filters are 77 mm and I use step-up rings. I use a filter in conjuction with a EW B+W Kaesmann polarizer on my SSXL110 with no problem.

San Giminiano... Just beautiful

Let the hot water run for a few minutes in you shower. This will raise the humidity in the shower and force all small particules / dust in the air to fall to the floor. Hang your negatives with a small weight attached at the bottom overnight, close the door and do not disturb the air in the bathroom. Your negatives will dry perfectly flat and dust free.I hope this helps.

I second Ilford FP4+. I rate it at EI 64 with Formulary PMK 1:2:1000 7 min 30 sec @ 75 F for N development.
