Water pipes running up my building. not clear if this fits into
Abstracts. Seemed the most appropriate category. Thanks for your
opinion.

Fantastic. Very good eye. Nothing more to add.

There is a fair element of truth in what Brian says.
I am not saying i am uncomfortable with this photograph. I also not for it. But like I said, apart from abusing Brian, no one here really has come with a sensible and rational argument.
and like Gregg Schrib pointed out, how many of those supporting the "art" in this photo would post a similar one of their daughters ??
now please don't flame me with what i see in this picture is a reflection of my other dark half and other such similar nonsense.
A lot gets passed off as "art". I have to say this photograph is one of those.
and Brian..
Its good to see someone standing up for what they feel and not worrying about being ostracised for not accepting a photograph as "art".

Excellent use of empty space. Lovely light and colours. Great subject(s).

Good framing. Great colours. Would have liked some more sharpness around the centers. Very pleasing photograph.

I would very much like to see how THAT photograph came out. should be interesting.

Oh...but this is great. What an image !!! Be sure you give a copy of this to the child when she grows up. She'll be real thankful.

New lens !! Good going Bill !!
This is interesting. Try putting a frame around this. The whole image being of more or less a uniform color, i think frame would be appealing.
Yeah...a 24 mm is quite wide. you can even make out the difference between a 28 and a 24. its quite a difference. i had pretty much the same reaction when i first used my 24 mm.

Thanks for the kind comment Vincent. Having seen your portfolio, I'll take the above as a compliment. :-)

Request your opinion on this shot. Late evening. Handheld. Cropped
a bit on the right.
-
Great viewpoint u've got there. Definitely original and interesting.

I couldn't get the whole thing to fit well when i framed it normally. it looked too rigid and flat to me. So I went with this.

hey richard...no probs there...an honest opinion is always welcome.
actually i pretty much agree with what you say...but the way i wanted this reflection there was no way avoiding the rest of the stuff. thats the way the road is...the christmas lighting was there as it was during ramzan time.
i do get your point all the same. thanx again.

Thanks for the kind comment Carl. I am putting up a couple more of the Twin Towers. Reflections and such.

Undoubtedly one of the "VERY BEST" nudes I have seen here on photo.net.
It takes talent to showcase nudity with class and beauty. You've certainly pulled it off.
p.s.
1. I think that is THE most perfect female form I have ever seen. My compliments to the model.
2. Whats with one of the "3" rating for Aesthetics ???

Request your opinions on this photo. Taken in Manual Mode. Looked
better tilted through the viewfinder. It was also the only way I
could have got some of the surroundings into the frame. Delayed
exposure. Tripod used. Late night.

does he come across as "forlorn" to anyone else ??

Was there anything private in the explanation offered to Mr.Carl Root that couldn't be shared with the forum ?? i think i'd like to know too.
its a nice photograph.
-
Really nothing else meaningful to add. just a great capture.
-
very pleasing colors and a good viewpoint.
i was wondering how it would look if the circular window was a bit more to the right and to the top and the dark left of the frame was cropped a bit tighter.

Beautiful contrast of colours. Isolated the subject very well.
