Vincent, I agree with you about modern lenses. They may be technically almost perfect, but at the same time, the photos may sometimes look a little bit too sterile and boring. I once had a modern 135mm lens, which had about 2 times more glass elements than a basic 70's vintage 135mm lens, and it had 9 aperture blades, so I basically got very good results with it, but I guess they were too good for my taste :)
What do you think about the background/bokeh? For me, it's very pleasing to the eye, but I guess somebody may think it's a little bit busy. But this is what you get with old vintage lenses and that's why I like to shoot with them.
