    Nice angle. Could have come in tighter on your subject. Could have also waited a while longer to get more of the player's profile - as in identify who he might be. Ray Charles wears glasses and can be recognised from any angle. This guy's not Ray Charles.

    Cannot help but think, what would happen here if the picture was taken from a much lower angle? The DOF in this shot may have worked better that way - top left in focus and bottom right soft. As it is, the DOF certainly distracts. The attention is intially drawn to the highlights before drifting back to the area of principle focus. If the intention was to get the eye to move and keep on exploring then it certainly works in this shot thus making it a good photograph and an exceptional piece of work.
