  1. My best find was a Jupiter-11 135/4 in L39 mount. This is the smallest version of the Jupiter-11 and it sits well on an M4/3 body. I'm aware that not all Jupiters were created equal and I think I got one of the good ones - it is sharp and contrasty with a nice natural colour rendition. Another very good one, less surprisingly, is the Minolta MD 200/4 (and mine was even cheaper than the Jupiter). It's a lot bigger than the Jupiter but bearing in mind the crop factor here, it's a fairly beefy telephoto in a small package.

  4. Your camera is a classic, which is reflected in used prices, and it's true you would pay about £700 for good s/h example. I've noticed some are being offered for sale with LCD issues, which suggests to me they can't be fixed. I would suggest you retire your GR1v and look for something else. I hesitate to recommend anything but there are good 35mm film rangefinders around with superb optics for a lot less than £700.
  5. brett_w., spoilt and spoiled are alternative spellings of the same word, with spoilt being more common in UK English, and spoiled being more common in US English. Funny the little things that distinguish us, isn't it? Brian Southward
  6. I see that Zenit (of Krasnagorsk) has launched a full frame digital Leica M clone, with a 35mm f1.0 lens. I had to check the date a couple of times because this feels like April 1st territory, but there are some convincing photos. Discussion of the finer points probably belongs in the Leica forum, but hey, another FF mirrorless digital - we're spoilt for choice!

  9. You said "no more Panasonic" which is a shame because I agree with Uhooru that a used GX7 would be ideal. Apart from the brand label it doesn't have much in common with the G1. It has IBIS and focus peaking which will help with your legacy lenses.
