    Sofi:

This image belongs in my grand daughter bedroom. The best things of this world speak to us from a place of balance and simplicity. You have captured elegance of simplicity in this photo.

The out of focus or blury look in this image is as a result for poster edge filter in photoshop. The mirror was 3 feet x 5 feet had no frame and would have been a hazard to children in my garden. It was however taken away by our recycle service.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions

  1. The first job I ever had was as an office boy at United Artist on Toronto. Part of my job was to go through the head shots of actors and send them to movie houses as part of promo packages. This is as good as any I have ever seen. And I have seen a ton. I love the eyes and the overall lighting.

  2. Jim:

Lighting babies is always fun. I suggest you use reflectors to avoid harsh lighting that might disturbe the subject. My favorite baby picture on PN is entitled "we added two feet to our house" not sure the artist but it is Mom Baby and dad's feet sticking out the end of a bed.

This is an Alberta sunset and I wanted the truck and road edge as much as the fence. It is due in no small part to PS shadow and highlight that makes this shot possable.
