I love the use of depth of field, the sepia and the brilliant mistery of the young model. I told my frekeled daughter that some people are blessed to carry their origional star dust for all to see, so we could all remember what it was like to be this close to God.

Nice painterly look could be any time or almost any place when times get hard.

I think the tone of the story is dark at least for the grounded child, so the tone is Ok for me. I imagine there might even be some risk in being at the window lest the jailors thing I am enjoying my prison in some way, so I hide in the shadows.

One has to wonder what she is thinking about the invasion of her space. I like pictures like this, it is well composed and full of life

Good balance and background

Thanks for your comments Pim. The mood was dark and is meant to be dark. I did however dodge the rock on the right hand side for better detail, so you can only imagine how dark it was. It was a dark April morning on the Oragon coast and I wanted that feeling. In retrospect bracketing the shot would have been my best practice. I keep on going back to places like this for reshoots,which is OK with me, but I need to be mor professional in my approach every time.
