I like the strong vertical lines the real black, complimenting purple, and the whites and other lighter shades. Cuba? I am not allowed not go there, China is ok but not Cuba.
-
Thats a fair comment. I took several more selective shots as well, but what is unique (at least in this area) about this scene is the two boats tied up this way, so I wanted to show that. Also all that red!

Lovely landscape + good timing + historic context = a real winner.

This is great shot. The Bulls head is high and dangerous yet the matador is steady and calm.

I had fun with this picture of new bridge in Boston, is the
Solarization too weird in this case?
-
The arms swinging, the facial profile, the balancing; its one for the ages, isn't it, timeless really...
-
The man appears as part of the landscape, he blends into the truck of the tree, its as if he is a muse. It makes a nice landscape more intriguing.

This is the opposite face of a city largely built on the humane scale of things. I guess the state had a message it wanted to send to its people.
-
Rather than a shot of one of the Worlds great buildings you have captured the essence of the city with this wonderful light.

Taxco is a special place; its all here, people, the colonial buildings, and the festivals.

Broadway Booggie Woogie?

Nice Summer shot, really captures the mood.

Sort of a color version of Paul Caponigro; nice article here but the link will not last long:

Nice job of framing this one. Isn't is a great place to take photos, and then you get to visit the Magna Carta. Here is my version:

Isn't it a wonderful structure. I enjoyed your Veiled folder, its a glimpse of a world I would otherwise not see.
-
Great folder very original; the shots still look like photography while making use of photoshop features.
-
Other than the copper color caused by the solarization in photoshop
this is a straight shot. I like the graphic look to this one, but do
you find the color off putting?
-
Like others in the folder over this one.
-
One amature to another, looks great to me, you've captured the scale, details and the tones seem right.
-
All of these shots seem so simple, yet they are so evocative; its a lesson for those of us spending our time trying out all the features and buttons in photoshop.
-
Nice, not sure you need the left fifth, could it be cropped at that point?
-
I like the feel of this one, it is old and urban; I think it needs something more though, a couple walking perhaps silhouetted against the white building.
-
Contrast and unsharpen mask were used to create an image of a man
that blends into the background, almost unseen. Is this an effective
allagory for his station in life?
-
Yes this is cropped, although I was very close, 20 or 30 yards away an a rock. This is a narrow spot where the incoming tide causes these rapids. There is a boat yard on the other side of the narrows, and there were other kayaks in the area. The action is slow enough that a motor-drive is not required.
Detail Cable-stayed Bridge

I had fun with this detail of a new bridge in Boston showing Cables
and a street light. Photoshop with solarization gives the odd affect.
Is it too much manipulation?
