Better framing could make this image stronger. As for subject matter, it seems this is a relative issue. For some, it's the same old homeless short, not very exciting. For others, it's a provocative image about the perils of poverty. The more I study this image, the more I realize that I tend to agree with the former opinion, where this image is relatively cliche. Like I said, better framing would make it look better, but the subject material isn't incredibly strong, primarily because it has been done so many times.
As for the crack that there is no poverty in the USA (or any major country for that matter), I would have to disagree. Yes, (northern)industrialized societies are on average far wealthier than (southern)developing states, but in every society there exist impovered citizens who live off what little food they can scrounge. Poverty exists everywhere, only on different scales.

This image is excellent. Most times I don't pay much attention to protraits of children, but this one catches my attention. Good photo, and keep up the good work. Any parent would love to have a photo like this one.

The beautiful thing about the "Obey Giant" is the way it has proliferated North America. I live in Victoria BC, and I have found those images in all sorts of weird places.
I'm not sure how I would make this image better, but I would certainly mess around with the DOF a little more, and perhaps put more of the Obey Giant in the frame, with some of the background art being slightly in focus.
I can't say exactly how I would do it, but it would be nice to see variations of this theme.

I don't really like this image because of the lighting...it doesn't match up very well. I don't really think it looks very good this way.

This shot turned out well, and the model fit the role perfectly.

Without coming off too negative, I feel the photo would be better if the red eye were removed, and the red splotches were not present in the middle of the photo. I'm also not a fan of the subject's expression, but that is not totally controllable and could only be remedied by taking several images in series.
I like action shots, but this one doesn't quite do it for me, sorry.

This image is great. The colours are fantastic, and the clarity is superb. I prefer this one over the B&W version primarily because the B&W version is simply a desaturated verion of this one. Keep up the good work.

This is striking image, for sure. I prefer the colour version of the B&W image for one reason, and one reason only: if this were shot on B&W film, rather than being converted in photshop, I think the tones would have come out better. My experience with converting colour images to B&W in photoshop has been less than stellar. No to detract from this image of course. I definitely like the colour version alot.

I just want to say I like this picture, primarily because of the lighting conditions, the subject material, and the overall look of the image.

It's all in the eyes, and this lady has nice ones. I like this shot because there is mystery in it, we don't see everything, but we do see her eyes, and they are the most important part of the image. Good work.

I like this shot. Yes, the window is blown out a bit, and to some that would take away from the image, but I like imperfections.
This image intrigues me because it's a candid shot of people interacting, and that's all it needs to do for me.

I like this shot. The colour is nice, the perspective is nice as well. When I first looked at the blurred boys I liked it, but then after awhile I began thinking that maybe they would be better off in focus.
