philip_harle1 0 Posted July 12, 2001 I was going for a different angle from the ubiquitous Hong Kong skyline shots. What do you think? Link to comment
vitkinb 0 Posted July 12, 2001 Wery powerful photo. Like it very much. Is the sky original or added by Photoshop? Link to comment
philip_harle1 0 Posted July 12, 2001 The sky is "real" - I used photoshop to reduce the contrast a bit (the buildings were a bit bright compared to the rest of the picture) but it's otherwise unmanipulated. Link to comment
jim hathaway 0 Posted July 14, 2001 Wonderfully dramatic sky and well-lit foreground structure! Link to comment
gejza_cepela 1 Posted July 14, 2001 If you take pictures like that then I bet you make good living with your camera. so long Gejza Link to comment
philip_harle1 0 Posted July 17, 2001 Go to: http://www.statravel.co.uk/win/photowinner2nd.htm I entered this competition and was quite annoyed to see that this won second prize! I've got a shot a lot like this, and didn't bother entering it, as I considered it a bit run-of-the-mill. Oh well, you can't win them all! Link to comment
acer iddibhai on aim 0 Posted July 24, 2001 my only complaint is that it's not nearly large enough!!! Link to comment
fortes 0 Posted July 29, 2001 I'd love to have a larger version for a desktop background. Link to comment
ole_kristian_bjerkeli 0 Posted September 23, 2001 It really was excellent in color as well. Just as I thought. Link to comment
rjacksonphoto 0 Posted December 1, 2001 High marks for aesthetics and originality. Great composition and colors. Unique vision. Thanks. Link to comment
chiu_chan 0 Posted December 6, 2001 I took a shot with same angle for the same subject. However, yours is far more better than mine. Great shot. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 10, 2001 Love this one. And it was done with a Tamron 28-200! I used one for a few years myself. Great lightweight travel lens pooh-poohed by experts, but very capable if used well...as proven here!! Link to comment
the the 0 Posted December 11, 2001 This image is great. The colours are fantastic, and the clarity is superb. I prefer this one over the B&W version primarily because the B&W version is simply a desaturated verion of this one. Keep up the good work. Link to comment
cd thacker 0 Posted March 6, 2002 I saw this yesterday and have been thinking about it since. Absolutely fucking outstanding. And the best part is, you shot it with that "low contrast" Tamron zoom (my lens, too). Link to comment
