Very interesting work. As an alternative I would also consider a square (more or less) crop right in the middle, just a personal thought.

It is a very nice image. Personally, I would add some brightness and reduce contrast a bit. Also there is a bit of over-sharpening expecially visible in the highlights of the woman's hair. All in all it is a nice work and I hope you don't mind if I post a variation. /general-comments/%E2%80%AAC:%5CUsers%5CRoberto%5CDesktop%5C00d0V5-553209584.jpg

Illusions, just where we wouldn't have expected them to be. Very nice work.
  5. It is the title that gives the magic to a great photograph

    Ogimachi Park

After some time spent looking for something strong in this picture, finally I gave up, just to find out I was more serene than before.

    Beautiful, again!

    Fish

Beautiful! I would left her look unresolved rather than resting on a menu, but that's quite personal I think.

If you are new to photography then I am Mickey Mouse. Good technique, good composition. And nice cars.

Color gives us some needed, momentary relief. Strong work!

Vey nice! This is the kind of image where shooting raw can make a difference (you can have a better control of whites in post processing)

I like this one very much.
  13. A nice result, Valeria. As a general rule if you like to take photographs of enlightened monuments or cityscapes, then a perfect moment would be just after sunset when artificial lights are on and the sky is not completely black.

These are beautiful portraits. Maybe film plays its role (not least a psychological one), but then in the end only subject and photographer are the image pillars, and it shows very well here. As a personal choice I would try to reduce the difference in skin tones by lightening the arms a bit in post processing.

Ulla, I find your work fascinating and this one is no exception. I particularly like the introspection and that sense of gentleness, often implying a real strenght, that shines through in your images. That said, I think your model's face shows some sign of oversharpening (lips, skin and eyebrows). But I have to say I am neither a pro nor an expert in make-up/studio photography so please take this critique for what is worth, I may well be wrong.
  16. A strong yet quiet, almost introspective depiction of a moment of glory and unity. As Jack said iconic and great work.

Sorry, it was "hidden" (just click on the word link in my previous message), or you can follow this one http://www.atlasofwonders.com/2013/03/park-monsters-sacro-bosco-bomarzo.html

Herman, I assume you can't remember the place name, so here is a link where I think you will find the answer to your question. Hope this helps

A nice photograph! Why humour? It is a 16th century park and it is just the opposite of a curse ;-)
