Taken in the beautiful town of Izamal in the Yucatan. This little
town is dominated by the Convent and the whole town is painted
yellow to match the church.

I discovered this nice backdrop with only a few minutes of light
left. I would have loved to return to this spot the next afternoon,
but we left the next morning.

Taken in the highland Chiapas town of Zinacantán. Photography
is these parts must be treated with upmost sensitivity. It's not
uncommon for photographers to be surrounded by a group of
locals who demand the film from the camera! This shy local
agreed to a photo, but not before a serious dose of the Taylor
charm!

Taken in the beautiful colonial town of Izamal in the state of
Yucatan. The statue is of the Pope, who visited the convent in the
mid-90's. Comments always welcome.

Love it Nestor, just beautiful. Makes me wish I were in Real de Catorce right now instead of miserable Playa del Carmen! BTW, the colors are far from oversaturated, and least on this monitor.

Taken during the Pushkar Camel Fair in Rajasthan, India.
Comments welcome.

Yes, I love the exaggerated angle and how his feet seem like a million miles away! Great composition.
I'm envious of your 2-year experience in Africa. What a phenomenal thing to do with your life. Hope someday I can do it as well!

Taken during the oh-so-popular camel fair in Pushkar. The only
thing harder than keeping the grit out of your camera is avoiding
other photographers in the background!

Fabulous image; your portfolio is full of great and creative stuff!

The old city of Jodhpur is a photographer's dream with all of it's
painted blue houses. Human subjects were lacking on this day,
so I did my best with the houses themselves!

Maybe the most original photo I've seen on this site, or anywhere else for that matter. I love it. Sexy but a little creepy too.
-
this is brilliant. In fact, for a professional, this is brilliant! I love the single stripe of light and the total darkness on both sides of it. Abstract and interesting! Great shot.

In the southern state of Kerala high in the mountains are some
of the most beautiful landscapes in India. Tea plantations, like
this one, stretch as far as the eye can see.

and rich colors. Good shot!

In India, getting a photo of a single child (or in this case, two) is a
real challenge. Just moments later there must have been 10
kids hanging out this window!

This proud Rajput man was only too happy to pose for a few
photos in the beautiful little town of Jaisalmer in western
Rajasthan.

Taken on one of several evening walks down to the beach at Mui
Ne. This bustling little fishing village is full of life in the evening
when everyone's preparing to head out to sea for the night's
catch. Thanks for your comments.

I love your Myanmar folder, but this photo particularily stands out. A wonderful portrait of a beautiful girl in such colorful ceremonial clothing. Great focus and the white background really makes the colors pop! GREAT work and sorely underrated, by the way.
Alan, could you e-mail me with info on this particular festival? I may be heading there this year and would like to know about it.
Thanks, Steve

Taken in the small, beautiful village of Mai Chau northwest of
Hanoi. Walking along the narrow mud dykes limited my vantage
points for shots. I think this was the closest I was able to get to
one of the planters. Comments welcome. Thanks.

Huh?

Fantastic light and composition!

This rice paddy shot has not been as popular as one of my others, but
I like it more than the ratings suggest. Just wondering what everyone
else thinks. Thanks.
