Very nice fashion / glamour shot - I like the way the shadow picks out her silhouette and the deep pink of the leather contrasts with the pale skin.

Lovely fairytale image. Beautifully constructed but the rather theatrical lighting does stretch its credibility as a "real" photo. As a dream-like scene - I believe your intention - it works wonderfully well.

Brilliant sensuous photo - you can almost feel the material of the dress sliding over her skin. Perfect sultry expression. One of the most erotic pictures I've seen.

Congratulations to both you and your model.

Lovely romantic image - the window lighting and rich colours create a sumptuous atmosphere. In contrast to most photos claiming to glamorous this is the real thing.

  1. An amazing place and colour gradation from left to right. As you say the picture absolutely needs a swimmer to portray the feel of the water. It's very difficult to capture someone looking serene while swimming (I've tried many times) but she does look like she was enjoying the experience of it.

It makes you want to be there - which is a pretty good mark of its success.

    River nymph

lovely shapes and textures of the wet skin and wet rocks with the river flowing by. Again, congratulations to your brave model and to you for capturing the character of the river flow so well.

It's great to have a model who can feel at ease in the river (which must be pretty cold) and your photo captures the movement of the water swirling around her very well using the slowish shutter speed.

I was wondering if you cropped this shot as it would be nice to see a little more background "context".

    Any more from this series?

  2. It's a great idea to capture both the scene and the signs of viewers' appreciation of it but, as you say, it needs a big print to do it justice. The stickers represent quite a crowd of sightseers over the months - you can imagine all these shadowy figures in the foreground sharing the view.

Weren't you tempted to go down the track to see the lake from close-up?

A classical scene, the delicate colours are captured nicely and the centred composition gives an atmosphere of stillness & permanence. It really needs to be printed BIG to bring out all the interesting detail (there should be plenty of resolution to spare on 10 MP).

My only crit is that you could have made a little more of the reflection with a polarizing filter (set horizontal). Obviously you can't go back and re-take it but it's worth considering if taking shots over water in the future. You might be able to reproduce something of the effect in PS by increasing the contrast in the sea (graduated upwards).

Lovely pose expressing enjoyment of the sunshine and environment.

The warm colours give a clear feeling of the temperature of the air but I wonder if the greens could be brightened up a bit.

... I hope you don't mind if I show you what I mean (I shall delete this in a few days unless you would like it left up for discussion)

Lovely shot - captures the meditative spirit well.

I agree with Dimitri about the legs, especially her right, which I think are distorted by the W/A perspective. It would be quite easy to correct for this with PS.

This is not just a portrait of a person but a portrait of the state of innocence - the natural closed eyes and relaxed features of untroubled sleep and security.

The soft colours and soft focus are perfectly fitting but you could avoid the focus looking like a mistake by some subtle enhancements in PS - especially removing the sharpness of the background and adding some definition to her eye lashes.

  3. Lovely natural setting and pose - the shadow of the tree on her back helps to integrate her with the environment. The high contrast works well to give a slightly IR-style dreamlike appearence and you've kept it nicely under control (but still fiddling around with those chemicals, I see!).

Classical feminine curves and lovely pose, and the door makes a natural frame for her. It's nice to see some emphasis on her hands and feet which are well integrated in the composition - they are often neglected in nudes.

    Congratulations to both of you,
