  1. My exhibit of street photography called "From New York to Sarajevo" is

    up for the month of February at the MudHouse on the Downtown Mall in

    Charlottesville, VA.

    <p>

    The collection of 10 photos concentrates on the visual similarities of

    the two cities, while underscoring the social differences. For

    example, in "The Kibitz" an observer offers a chess player a

    suggestion on a move and the chess player reacts rudely on the

    intrusion on his private game. The shot is taken in the shadow of the

    World Trade Center. In another photo taken in Sarajevo, a group of 13

    men gather around a very large board to discuss the game and the moves

    as if they are all playing the same game.

    <p>

    Anyway, just thought it someone was in the area they might like to

    stop by.

    <p>

    I had the opening last Friday. Sold 3 prints, negociating right now

    for a 4th. Not bad for a first show.

    <p<

    All the prints are B&W silver, done by hand.

    <p>

    If you can't make the show, perhaps you might want to check out my

    recently started photoblog: <a

  2. I'm looking for a "silent" street camera. I was wondering if someone

    could rank the M7, M6, Hexar RF and Hexar AF for shutter noise.

    Is the Hexar RF as quiet as the M7 or M6? Which is louder, the M7 or

    the M6? etc.

    I have a Hexar AF with the "stealth" option enabled. Absolutely love

    it. Does the auto-wind on the Hexar RF have the same (maybe hidden)

    feature?

  3. Okay, I believe I've found it. The cookie was ad_user_login and was for "www.photo.net".

    After I deleted this cookie I was automagically logged out. After logging back in the cookie did not appear again. And I was able to log out normally (via 'Logout' button). Also, after logging in the credit-card links worked correctly.

    I'm not familiar enough with Firefox to figure out how to re-insert this cookie (I saved a copy of cookie.txt, but apparently it doesn't read from this file). If it would continue to be helpful, I can spend some time to recreate that cookie to see if I can reproduce these results for you. Though, I imagine you have enough info to solve the problem already. Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

  4. Just to follow up, the website won't let me logout of www.photo.net. I get thrown to the index page but the "My Workspace" still shows up. Though, "photo.net" doesn't seem to know about me (as your post suggested).

    Weird.

    I'm sure if I manually hunted down the cookie I could delete it and solve all these problems, but as it isn't really an issue for my usability of this site I prolly won't unless you'd like me to do so to further help debug the issue.

    (please excuse the formatting, PN is censoring the 'pre' tag, prolly for good reason)

    Not sure why it doesn't know my username. I'm clearly logged in -- and posting this message from the same session. Though, truth be told, I haven't actually "logged in" for about a year, as my old cookie still seems good.

  6. Brian,<br>

    <p>Thank you for adding CC support and for the membership drive. I had difficulty accessing the payment page. When I click on either link (12months or 36months) is get thrown back to the same page. I'm not sure which of the following is the culprit, but my setup is as follows:<br>

    <p>

    <code>OS: linux

    Browser: Firefox 1.0.4 (using Adblock so I don't see many ads, could this be the problem)

    Java and JavaScript are enabled

    </code><br>

    <p>I hopped on a Windows machine, also running Firefox, to make my payment.<br>

  7. Does anyone have any experience with Film-Kive 35mm Negative Archival

    Sleeves? They seem to be superior to Print-File Sleeves because the

    sleeve is wider, and so I don't need to cut the corners off my

    negative strips. Also between the sleeves the plastic is perforated

    so it folds easily upon itself.

    1) I'm looking for anyone with feedback about the archival nature of

    these film sleeves.

    2) I'm looking for a supplier, preferably on-line, who will sell these

    at low quantity (only need about 500 sheets or so).

    Google just doesn't seem to be helping out much on this.

    Thanks,

    -j
