  1. I'm new to macro photography (just bought the equippement for it) and

so there is a lot of these pictures in my portfolio. I hope you all

can give me some pointers on this type of photograpy. With a reversal

ring set it is difficult to get a decent DOF. I however find it

facinating to see small objects and animals in a much larger scale,

and to be able to see the details in these that I haven't seen

    before.

Thank you for your comment Dan. You are absolutely right. The original is darker, the brightness on my monitor wasn't calibrated good enogh when I scanned the picture.-20 brightness in Photoshop makes it look better. :)
  2. This picture is a bit cold, as is most of the pictures in this folder. When the sun start to go down the light turns blue. It is possible to correct this to a certain degree by adding red and yellow to your pictures.

This was taken with my Nikon F-70 and a reverse adapter ring set on a

    nikkor 35-80 lens.

I felt this picture got more impact after making it a quadtone

picture in Photoshop. It's not much of a difference, but still, I

think this i better than the original.

  3. I don't understand how you do it, excellent.

It gives me a feeling of Star Wars.

If you take a look at the walls from the building in the left corner it has the same structure as the wings of the TIE fighter.

(oops, I came out as a total Star Wars fanatic there, didn't I).

    Anyway, great shot.

    Light painting?

This is an excellent picture. I would love to have it explained in detail how you get the background so dark and the subject so clear.
