    Got Food?

Re: Nathan - I don't think the contrast should be any lower. It works well to show how dark people can feel when they are consumed by food issues. Just identifying Barbie is important, not the detail.

    Very nice!

Your photos all have a very nice crisp focus and excellent color. This one is my favorite.

I have often looked up at all the wires involved in contraptions such as these (I think a lot of people miss it). You did an excellent job of capturing all the intricacies of the wires and steel joingin together. Also, with the slight tilt in the shot the perspective looks as if you just quickly looked up and got a little dizzy. Excellent!!

I also think this is your best shot. There are number of things that all come together here. The color is nice and rich and the range is great. The trees are interesting - help break up the shot. The moon is an added bonus.

    Regarding Kai's Comment:

Not enough color???? My screen shows dark blacks, bright oranges, moving through red to a deep blue/purple. The tree works fine where it is to break up the ground to sky.

    Regarding Viorel's Comment:

?? I guess you will have to 'dumb it down' for me to understand that one.

    Regarding Cedar's Comment:

Right on. Try out some differnet filters. They are fun and can improve some shots.

  1. Not quite sure what you mean....so this may not answer your q.

I saw a nice spot to stand on the rocks where the waves would crash over me and not through me. I set the camera focus, f-stop and speed, then set it up on my trusty tri-pod and moved into place.

The colors here are the key - the yellow really makes this shot for me. People are always saying to move the composition off center, I think it works very well here. Awsome shot!
