Really like the sky. Needs a little more ground to make the shot more stable looking.
-
There is just something about seeing the trees so white, that make this look like another dimension or universe. Cool effect!
-
Excellent shot. It has the feel of a painting. There is a very full range of tones - gotta love that Velvia!
-
Your photography has a very dark, oppressed feeling to it. The shots in this folder and the psychological folder are very disturbing. I hope you find peace.
-
Nice way to crop in close. The black & white works well without being a distraction. Very nice!
-
That just looks reall cool. I have an urge to give it a push.
-
The shadows work well here. You got to this one at just the right time.
-
I like the placement of the building. The clouds connect at the top like smoke coming out of a chimney. The color saturation is great.
-
Very nice!

Butterflies are such colorful creatures. I am not sure if I like seeing them in b/w. Composition and DOF are good.
-
Your photos all have a very nice crisp focus and excellent color. This one is my favorite.
I have often looked up at all the wires involved in contraptions such as these (I think a lot of people miss it). You did an excellent job of capturing all the intricacies of the wires and steel joingin together. Also, with the slight tilt in the shot the perspective looks as if you just quickly looked up and got a little dizzy. Excellent!!

The sky on this shot just glows. Very nice!
-
Your colors seem to glow off the page. Excellent job.
I am new to the slide film. How do you scan your slides for the site?
-
Nice shot, but I am getting the compression lines around the sun. Need higher resolution scan or less compression on the jpg.
-
The beams on the bridge that are lit up in white really make this shot for me.
-
This shot is very subtle. I think it is getting overlooked because of all the other great photos in your collection. I have enjoyed all of your work. Excellent job!!!
-
I also think this is your best shot. There are number of things that all come together here. The color is nice and rich and the range is great. The trees are interesting - help break up the shot. The moon is an added bonus.
Regarding Kai's Comment:
Not enough color???? My screen shows dark blacks, bright oranges, moving through red to a deep blue/purple. The tree works fine where it is to break up the ground to sky.
Regarding Viorel's Comment:
?? I guess you will have to 'dumb it down' for me to understand that one.
Regarding Cedar's Comment:
Right on. Try out some differnet filters. They are fun and can improve some shots.
-
Nice effect with the filter.
-
I like the way the shot was cropped. Nice job!
-
Not quite sure what you mean....so this may not answer your q.
I saw a nice spot to stand on the rocks where the waves would crash over me and not through me. I set the camera focus, f-stop and speed, then set it up on my trusty tri-pod and moved into place.

Lense open too long. The bright sections are way to saturated.
-
The collage of colors is nice, but the focus doesn't hold throughout the shot. Probably because it was dark and the you had to open the lense.
-
Your timing on this shot was very good. The sky is still a nice blue, yet the lights from the city show up nicely. What was the exposure length?
-
The colors here are the key - the yellow really makes this shot for me. People are always saying to move the composition off center, I think it works very well here. Awsome shot!

Re: Nathan - I don't think the contrast should be any lower. It works well to show how dark people can feel when they are consumed by food issues. Just identifying Barbie is important, not the detail.
Very nice!
