The highlights and contrast look good on my monitor. You might want to use the rule of thirds on this one and not place the bird in the middle. Try placing him in the upper or lower left or right corners and see what effect the ripples have on the remainder of the picture.

I like the background colors and you composition. Fun picture.

Large concrete spheres in parking lot - shot at dusk.

Eye catching shape. Looks like the left fist with the thumb nail in the upper right corner. The photo works for me.

Well done on capturing the tackle. Since Im a soccer fanatic I see these billboards as being part of the playing field (wouldnt be professional soccer without them) and therefore I like the DOF. The only suggestion I could offer is to crop about ½ inch off the left side to bring the player in blue (central character for me) more towards the center. Otherwise, its a fine photo as is.

Jean, good creativity, but I don't connect with the picture. Even though it's an abstract, it doesn't seem to have the form or structure that grabs the eye (too busy maybe). I looked at your other two pictures (Snowboat and Tire) and think they are excellent.

Thank you Philip...the shot was not planned (she wasn't happy about it either). I thought I had a bunch of dud candid shots until I developed the contact sheet a year later and saw the similarities in both facial expressions. Tried to clean the clutter off the wall in PhotoShop, but it left the picture empty, so I submitted the original.

Taken in the early 80's of my wife and cat Mario (found a bunch of my
old negs). Light sepia toned print.

I like this one much better than the other with fill flash.

Good blend of color.

Nice illustration of the extreme - hot vs. cold. Did the pepper bleed into the ice, or did you add color later?

It's not natural to view trees at a slant, but it seems to work for this picture. In fact, that's the only reason I stopped to look at it.

I don't know why, but I like this picture very much. Once in a great while I'll run across something that I appreciate without having to analyze it to death. Good work.

I only like this picture because it reminds me of our last
vacation, but it seems pretty cluttered - your reaction?

Would appreciate any feedback
