  1. beautiful tones. I like the way you framed the white cloud with the gray, and the way that the water leads my eye towards the same cloud. The rock in front is a little contrasty for my taste, but that may just be a digital artifact

nicely done. hard to get color and freeze the quick motion at the same time, but you've done well. I like the movement from left to right, even like that the water ring is cut off at the edge.

The repetition from middle to top and bottom, as well as the diminishing rings from left to right add a sense of balance.

    striking

I really like the way that the rock in the foreground echoes the shape of the mountain in the background.

While I do agree that the level of saturation is really high, that didn't turn me off until I read and re-read the objections to the saturation...

What *did* seem less than ideal to me is the darkness of the background. One of the other comments involved Ansel... he never would have let the background fall off like that but rather dodged it out a little (or burned the fore).

    Cheers!

I think that what works here is the color-match between the water and the saron (or whatever that diaphanous material is)

the framing provided by the vertical and horizontal bars is also a nice element, as is the way you placed the cleat right in the center of the frame

of course, the attractive model and the brilliant sunshine help more than a little bit as well

would like to see it slightly more exposed to see if you can tease some more color out of the sky, but don't want to lose the strong contrast between the outline of the model and the surroundings

Where did her toes go? It would balance out the fingers better if her feet didn't look quite so chopped off... sure, easy to say now, sitting at home, but not so easy to notice while shooting the shot.

    good job!

great job! strong whites with mild shadows, nearly-black blacks (black enough!) and plenty of color in the yellow. attractive composition too.

curious choice of foreground subjects, but eyecatching

I like the very western-looking pedestrian contrasted with the very eastern-looking hanging lamps

that's just how a remember it... ok, I've never been there, exactly, but the quality of light evokes memories of travel for me. Well seen, well executed.

beautiful lighting. Her... left (had to think about that for a second) hand/foot combo is really pretty, the combination of curves and straight lines is fantastic
  2. great composition. The upper left looks just like a face to me- with the two hot spots as eyes and the curve of the lightning making a nose and even mouth.

Sell it to the Enquirer! "Face of Demon Seen in Storm".

The only change I might make is to remove the dark shape at the very bottom.
