I really like this image - the fact that you got a moving creature to hold dead still and get a perfect profile like that is great. I have a hard time photographing animals because they love to wiggle. I also love the majestic "I'm a dino" part of it. Very cute.

I can't see too much detail in the size on the page here, but assuming you don't blow it up very large in a print, I agree. All hail the rubberstamp tool!

I found this gorgeous camellia in the shade in the gardens near my

house, but I don't feel the photo does the flower justice.

 

I think that the composition leaves something to be desired. Could I

crop it differently, perhaps removing the decaying leaf... or in a

perfect square?

 

All comments of any nature are strongly encouraged. I'm a beginner

and can use all the help I can get.

Taken in early evening in Monterey, CA. How do you feel the people in

the background influence the composition?
