I was very happy with this photo except for the unsightly trash cans I managed to pickup in the background. I used photoshop to manually cut out the cans and was pretty happy with the end results.

used photoshop to remove them as best I could and felt I achieved an

acceptable end result. The resolution is low so I could include both

photos, so you cant really get the nice detail of the original.

I can't see too much detail in the size on the page here, but assuming you don't blow it up very large in a print, I agree. All hail the rubberstamp tool!

Photoshop is a great tool to use, but don't use it as a crutch, opening your aperture and shooting at 2.8, 3.5 0r 5.6 would have blurred the background and would enhance the subject more.

I would have kneeled a little to shoot at the kids' eye level. That way, you could have easily hidden the trash cans behind the heads, and equaly important, you would have been able to focus the action where it's happening (the hands) rather than on the background. As is, there is just too much background anyway, with or without the cans. My 2 cents.
