A funny photo that shows the goofy things kids do....brought a smile to my face:)

I like the feel of this photo. I think it would have been better to show her doing something obvious or deliberate. It seems like she's putting on a shoe...if so, frame the composition so we can see her doing so. It makes for a more complete photo I think. I like the colors, and think if you go for the warmer more bright look, it'll help make it more summery and happy. But it depends on what mood you are going for, as this one already has emotions invested within it.

Very beautiful and evocative photo. The wash of light over the dancers is amazing. Even if this is a digitally manipulated photo (which I hope it isn't), it still maintains a firm foot in reality.

This photo is so lively and engaging and active, it really draws the viewer into the photo. With a tighter crop, and (again) warmer color balance, one can get the sense of fun and laughter. A tighter crop would place a more dynamic view towards the bride, and get rid of some of the less important ceiling area. Great job on this photo and the other ones already commented on! You have the eye for beautiful moments!

I love this shot. The interaction between the bride, her little bridesmaids/flowergirls, the treelined hill...all perfect. Once again, the only quibble I have is color balance. For some reason, alot of your photos tend towards blue/green in the shadows. With a little warming up, the impact is softer, warmer, more inviting. Great job!

The posted photo is rather large. That said, this photo is beautiful. You got the interaction between bride and groom down perfect...great use of selective DOF. I don't mind the blown out whites in the veil, since it makes the photo more dramatic. Only thing to improve is the color balance.

I really like the way you captured the bride's expression on this photo. She seems absolutely delighted, and her face is beaming. Things to improve is the use of flash. It looks like you did a headon flash, without taking into account the ambient light. I'm not proficient with flash, so I usually go with shooting with just available light. However, one technique when using flash is to set your shutter speed slower or aperture wider, to allow more of the background to be exposed correctly, and dialing in your flash to provide an extra kick for the subjects. Also, the color balance of the posted photo could be improved by warming it up with more red and yellow. Hope this helps!

I love this photo, but agree with the other comments. Crop out that bottom black edge, and maybe a bit of the top black to make the image a panorama. The colors and capture of movement is amazing!

This shot is nice. I like the viewpiont you presented, with the long string of colored umbrellas disappearing into the blackness of the bridge, but wish you had zoomed in tighter, to isolate the umbrellas from the sky and left sided branches. Would have made the shot more impactful. But good job nonetheless!

Assuming this is a stylus on a turntable, it is a great shot that would be wellsuited for a DJ mix CD or something like that. I like the almost cross-processed look to this, with the bold orange nib contrasted with the pale sickly green background. The record looks so smooth and buttery and the selective use of DOF makes the playing groove appear to be sliced in by the stylus. Innovative shot!

I read your post regarding this photo and another in your folder (http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo.tcl?photo_id=1603475) and thought I'd offer you some feedback. You have some very strong work in your other folders (http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=1592250 and http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=883978) but I find something lacking in several of the photos listed in this folder.
There seems to be a level of abstraction that makes it difficult to appreciate the photo. In your other photos that I cited, there is a strong sense of tension, of vitality, of interaction with the world. It is this sense of life that makes your other photos more emotionally powerful.

This photo is nice, but it seems a bit "flat". Maybe it could have been printed with a bit more contrast, unless this was the intended effect. Good job on capturing the model's expression however.

Interesting perspective!

I love this photo. The crispness, the composition....it all creates a powerful image.

I think if you cropped it as you suggest, you'd lose some of the sense of scale. As it is, its a nice photo. On small thumnail, it looked like a man standing in the sky, which would have been a really decisive moment:)

I don't know if this photo has been manipulated dramatically in Photoshop, but I like it. Creative and pleasing image.

I like the fact that there is so much shadow work involved. It helps define her musculature. I also like that light source (doorway?) to her right, since it makes it look less studio-based and more location based. I also like the softness to some degree, but it seems a bit TOO soft. Good job though!
-
And I think you succeeded:) Nice photo. Kinda wish that foreground white area wasn't so blown out though, but probably an effect of slow shutter speed causing alot of white water to come together as a blurry image?
-
Of all the photos in your portfolio which depict windmills, I think this is your strongest. Beautiful lighting, great composition that evokes a sense of a gentle winter. Amazing job!

I really like this photo. I feel the blur adds to the sense of free motion, and of dancing, as the title implies. Nice work!

If this photo was just a tad sharper in the midground...still, I appreciate the earthtones balanced against the sky, and the choice in cropping. Gives it a sense of permanence.
