    My wife and I were driving up to Rochester, NY, during a fairly intense, continuous, rain storm. Around Bradford, PA, the clouds broke momentarily and rays of sunlight lit up the view above. The light was changing so quickly that I left my Nikon in the back seat and grabbed this shot with my iphone 5s. I have made a large print of this and amazed at the detail, from foreground to far distance.

    I think that my Prominent is a very nice camera. That being said, I wish that I had an adapter to use the 1.5 Nokton with my Nikon rangefinder bodies.

    The quality of the shots that I get with my iphone astounds me. I don’t the heck they do it in that minute package. This is a quick shot in the clubhouse of a golf course that I played recently.

    Here is a shot of a Prominent that is in my collection. This is a beautifully made camera that is still fully functional. It is, however, a total pia to use, with very clunky controls. The 50mm f1.4 Nokton lens is quite sharp and has fairly good contrast. Has anyone else here every used one?

    I used to visit here, but have not been back for around 10 years. Had a side business as an architectural photographer for many years and have been a daily serious shooter since I was a teen. I have a collection of at least 75 cameras, from antiques to dslr. Here’s a random shot of my beater Nikon S2 that I use when I want to shoot some film.
