Nice shot, good color but a little confusing I would crop the whole left side of the image removing the shelfand the blur on the bottom left. LEAVE THE THE STAIRS AND EVERYTHING TO RIGHT !!!!!

This is really nice portrait. But it seems a little flat. How did you light it? there is not one shadow or catch light in her eyes. I think sometimes, depending on the your final use for the portrait, that shadows add demension to a shot. Check out some of the famous artist, Rembrandt etc. they can't be all wrong.

Kris, your use of photoshop in this image is ok, there are blotches on the right side which could have been repaired using the rubber stamp. A lot of time was spent on the color and the bight sun, but you should have spent a little time to include more of the ship, if you didn't mention it I wouldn't have known it was aboard a ship. i realize it was taken with a disposable camera and the results are good. Next time use a real camera and you will be amazed how better the results.

Photoshop is a great tool to use, but don't use it as a crutch, opening your aperture and shooting at 2.8, 3.5 0r 5.6 would have blurred the background and would enhance the subject more.

In any photo essay you are telling a story, there is no real hint of a story, what are they pondering, whats for lunch? How much gas mileage they get? tell the viewer what the focus is don't let them guess.

Great color tones, at first glance I thought the rock formation , lower left, was a man. Was this image tweaked up in the computer?
