Battleship Cove at Sunset
I took this during my short stay aboard the Tallship Bounty (summer of '99). I didn't have a camera at the time so I was using a cardboard disposable that had expired the year before. Because of its age, the negative was dull and had a serious color cast which made the print uninteresting. I took the photo and greatly increased the saturation. I then altered the hue to correct for the color cast. Finally, I used photoshop's noise filter to add 'grain' to the photo. I'm not suggesting that the cove looked exactly like this that evening. I can barely remember taking this picture, there is no way I could accurately correct the aged negative now. But I think this is a good "artist's rendition" of a sunset aboard the ship. Please let me know what you think.
