Great close-up, but I wish the cat's eyes were open a bit more.

Why do I feel like an unlucky mouse??? A little motion blur is obvious and I'd crop the image square to eliminate the background and intensify the eyes.

I wouldn't change a thing. Great capture.

I might have cropped it a bit tighter, but that's just me. The lighting is terrific and your subject is definitely comunicating his/her opinion.

More of an anglular view of the fence (taken close to the fence with the fence trailing off into the distance)might be more interesting. The image seems a little flat to me.

As an editorial photo this is well focused and the lighting is good. Having never seen a hedge hog up close and personal I appreciate the photo's clarity, but if this guy is alive, an action photo might be more interesting from a creative perspective. If he's sleeping, however, I'm not sure that I'd wake him up.

The photo is interesting and I really like the soft light on the cat. However, the focal point (the cat's face) is to centered and the dark half of the photo is distracting. I'd crop it a little tighter to fix both problems at once. It focuses attention on the subject, not the plant.

Excellent capture. DOF is perfect, terrific lighting and this guy just cracks me up.

The foreground is a bit distracting. I'd really like to see a close up on the cat's face with a soft background. Terrific color saturation.

Good photo, but could be better. I would have tried for reflective light in order to bring the bird out of the shadows (time and model willing. More even lighting would have made the colors of the bird really pop.

Excellent use of color, depth of field and the clarity is remarkable. It's well cropped so that nothing distracts the eye. The model is priceless as well. Great job!

I agree that one eye is larger than the other. I might have put the smaller eye closer to the camera in order to make it appear larger, but it's not too distracting in what I consider to be a fantastic portrait. The lighting, composition and model are perfect.

This is not an image that I had ever hoped to see, but you captured it marvelously! I'm quite impressed by all of your photos. Thanks for sharing.

The deep rich colors are fabulous. They work so well with the bright white of the elegant feline. My personal taste would have been to crop it down just a bit more to even out the amount of the light brown on the right and on the top, but losing even a small amount of that beautiful color might be a shame. What do you think?

On my monitor the photo is a little dark. However, the problem is with my monitor, I'm sure, not your photo. I think that the DOF is perfect. The subject is quite sharp, the background is soft and the foreground is semi-soft, but detailed enough to be recognizable. A little higher angle might have made the catapillar more distinct, but then his/her monster-like charactoristics would be lost. Great angular composition!

I sincerely appreciate the difficulty of photographing butterflies. I know that you can capture them and put them in the freezer in order to slow them down, but I'm not inclined to put anything so beautiful in the freezer. The angular composition is great. The clarity and color saturation are nice as well.

Excellent use of texture.

I love the shapes, the grain and the monochromatic coloring. The tight crop is terrific. I could see this hanging on a wall in a trendy home or in an apothecary. Very nice.

I could die a happy photographer. Since the topic is out there, I think that the dark section of the photograph is a nice balance with the bright colors on the building. If there were no detail in the dark section, I would say cropping would be best. However, since there is terrific detail, I like it just as it is. Great job!
