Nice composition. A vertical crop might communicate the ascention a bit more, but this works nicely in lending grandure to the heavens.

I might have sacrificed clarity in other areas for detail on the guys, but overall I really like the effect. Great job.

The first alternative makes the photo look like it is cliff hanging by eliminating the greenery on the right. I'm not sure which I like better, but your photo provides many alternatives.

I'm not sure that I agree with your comment. The tree is very centered and isn't really leaning toward anything. There's a little more distraction in this photo than necessary though so simple cropping might help with both issues.

My monitor tends to be too dark, so I can't see how much detail is in the foreground, but the eye is definitely drawn to the seagull because of the darkness in the lower third of the photo. So, your composition works well.

This photo comunicates emotion very well! I love the composition, the colors that divide the photo work very well. This little guy breaks my heart.

There are two distracting elements in this photo. One is the row of photos in the background and the other is the bow or whatever that is floating beside her head. Close vertical cropping would eliminate the distractions ane focus attention on that beautiful face. Love the lighting.
I just looked at your other photos and feel quite humbled by your creativity. Excellent portfolio!

I wish that the background were not so busy, but I love the pose.

I love the crisp detail on the head and body. The softness on the rest helps one visualize the grandure of the display.

I love the effect, but wouldn't it be cool if the hood reflected something besides overhead lighting. You did a terrific job with what would otherwise be an ordinary photo.
-
The color saturation is terrific. I do canvas enlargements with many of my flower shots. This would be a terrific print.

Terrific cigarrette ad.

Excellent reflection in the cat's eyes. Love it. A tighter crop would eliminate distractions. Too bad about the date stamp too.
-
Excellent cropping. I love the rich colors.

The focal point of this picture is the eye of the horse. It would make a much stronger image if the eye was not in the center of the image.

Although the background is beautiful, it's not adding much to the meaning or communicaiton of the photo. At the very least I'd crop it down to just above Creole's ears. Great lighting and depth of field.

I'd have cropped it very tight to eliminate the doorway (a big distraction for me). Also this makes your image less centered and more interesting. This photo cracks me up!

I love the rich colors, but I'd eliminate most of the background.

I think that a vertical crop would eliminate a few distractions (the zig-zag pattern on the couch, the blown out light from the right hand window and the shadow on the dogs back).
