This image immediately brought to mind Vermeer's 'Girl with a Pearl Earring.' Your lighting has the same rich qualities and your subject is similar in looks. Bravo!

The softening that you've done gives your images a painterly feel. The Agave in the lower left might be distracting, but I think that I'd like to see more of it. What distracts is the fact that we can't really see the the point of origin. It's a very pleasing photo none the less.

Fabulous subjects and perfect exicution. I am in awe!

Fantastic color and clarity. Original? YES!

Isn't it just like a group of people--there's always one that's distracted by something and one that's lost in a world of his own. The challenge here is not lost on me. It's difficult enough to capture one at a time. Technically very well done, BTW.

To see the light reflected in an insects eye, is phenominal. I'm guessing that this is studio based on the light source I see. Yes?

This is truly an impressive capture. The narrow DOF adds to the level of difficulty, but adds so much to the photo. I might not have cropped it quite so close (he looks a little crowded inside that little box), but it's terrific regardless.

I wouldn't change a thing. The image is crisp, colorful and very well composed (IMHO). The subject is interesting and the sand ridges lead the eye right to it. Bravo!

This is fabulous! The DOF is perfect to highlight the subject. The exposure and clarity are dead on.

Hey Scott,
In photography, as in all art really, if it doesn't add to the photo, then it detracts from it. Creative cropping is very important in photography. Your subject ends two thirds of the way up on the left hand side. That's about where I'd crop the photo. Color saturation and histogram levels can be adjusted in PS.

The detail is incredible, but the lighting is captivating. The soft shadows add a sense of calm. I love it!

Is this really a night shot? I've never seen a hummingbird at night. Maybe I should look harder. Terrific capture, congrats!

There's something about the angles and colors that keep me coming back to this photo. "The Monolog" might be just as humorous for a title. Good job!

It's difficult to critique a photo that brings forth such emotion. Clearly, Bailey is an incredible subject and the parent's hand brings a sence of scale to the photo. The only change that I would make would be to eliminate some of the distraction from the striped blanket. Just a little cropping would eliminate the excess blanket and focus the viewers eye on the difference in scale between the subjects. It's amazing! Best wishes!

This image could be enhanced by moving the horizon from the center of the image either toward the top or toward the bottom, depending upon where you want the secondary focus (the sky or the water). While you're at it you could straighten the horizon a bit and maybe sharpen the edges on the boat.

Your subject seems a bit lost in the middle of the other interesting objects. You could focus more attention on the subject through creative cropping. While the rule of thirds is not a law, it does help to focus the viewer's eye.

I'd crop the top to just above her head, but otherwise great shot.

If Rembrandt did pet portraits, this is what they would have looked like. Great job!

This is a strong image without the frame and PS work. With the PS work, though it is a fine example of imagination and skill.
